Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

I went to the Portuguese consulate in Boston to renew my Portuguese passbook and biometric ID card and it was sent to me from Portugal in exactly one week. It’s amazing how fast things are there compared to here in the United States. Send Bee my love and prayers.

I've done a similar route from Lisbon to Paris and back, back in September 22. It was hard. Thankfully you have a more comfortable car. I did that in a Kia Stonic, which is a very low roofed car, my back was very affected by it. Anyways it's a good experience.

Theo I just wished I had an ounce of your energy....know it must be so hard for you and bea at the moment but wish you so well. We have also had an immense forest fire here in alvaiazere which has wiped out everything as far as the eye can see...something like 25000 acres so don't feel alone ...the crazy thing is it is already starting to green up and am sure will continue to do so and just a different landscape for now....in a strange way it all looks a lot neater if that makes sense?
