Sympathise with you. I, as well as my partner have lower back issues (almost the same L discs). Speaking of three legged animals many decades ago my sister tried to rescue a baby kitten where the mother had given birth in some bird netting behind the shed. The netting was entangled around one of the kitten's legs and the kitten lost one of her rear legs. When my sister tried to remove the kitten it bit her on her finger. Not much pain, but later it became infected. Fever and swelling sent her to the Children's hospital. The doctors said that there is chance she may need her finger or even whole hand amputated if antibiotics don't control the infection. Lucky for her the swelling subsided and she recovered. An innocuous 3 legged kitten bite kept her in hospital for 5 days.

I just left hospital yesterday after I was there the whole week for some treatment for the exact same problem by getting some cortisone+anti-inflamatory injections near the vertebrae and physical therapy every day. Came back home today and saw now the video. I love cheese and your videos are always so fun to watch on how to make the different cheeses of our world. I wish you a swift recovery

Hi Gavin - I'm so sorry you're in this pain. Feel better soon!! My sister had the same problem for over 8 months. An outpatient surgery ended up giving her life back. Hopefully your non-invasive treatments do the trick for you as they often do for many with disc-related nerve pain. No matter what - we're all rooting for you and send you our love! Thank you for your amazing videos for so many years!

I had / have that - the disk got inflamed by osteoarthritis, but the area is no longer causing me pain, thanks to an nerve block injection guided by a catscan. It's been over 12yrs and the pain hasn't returned. I went for years in agony from it, so I completely understand. I now have spinal compression at the top of my spine causing nerve problems in all of my limbs. Hopefully surgery in September will help with that. I'll be thinking of you. Do really take care.

I know exactly how you feel. In 2019/2020, i had a workplace accident that caused a serious blow out in my back in the L5/S1 disk, after having surgery to remove the bulge, i have been in pain in my everyday life, i had a second surgery in January of this year to help remove more bulging and while it has improved, im still well within the healing process of something like this, and it is painful some days. I hope it starts to feel better and the pain starts to lessen.

This will get better. I had an injury in an auto shop with a similar result, about 25 years ago. My smaller three toes on each foot are slightly numb, but it hasn't slowed me down, other than my awareness of a back issue makes me a tad more careful. I wish you the best, but I also think that "you got this"!
