I get sick when I have to throw away a lipstick because it has been open for more than a year…I know it’s your job but I’m quite sure there are product is these jars that haven’t been used for a while. This is an incredible collection and I love how it’s organised but I just keep thinking what a waste it seems, most make up once opened only has a shelf life of like 6-12 months, there’s no way all of that would get used 😩

A lot of them seem to be unopened but you have a great point. To me it's anxiety inducing hell not heaven haha Such a waste of product. I try to pass things I rarely or never use onto friends and family or sell them online for that reason with a way smaller collection.

Just bought my first full size bottle of high-end perfume at the age of 35 (a lil late in life some might say but I was stuck in my 20s what can I say!!) Anyway, I bought Black Opium by YSL!!! I had gotten a sample in a Sephora order and I was smelling the tiny empty vial for weeks after it was gone - that's when I knew I had to buy the full size! I have never loved a scent so much that I felt compelled to spend the kind of $$ that goes with those high-end fragrances... Until Black Opium! 🥰 It's just... Mmm mmm! I wear it if I'm having a bad mental health day, even if I'm staying home. It does wonders for my mood. Truly a magical scent. 🖤

I too refuse to declutter my UD naked palettes. They were my first higher end eyeshadow palettes back in 2013. Very sentimental as I remember how extremely excited I was when I bought them. I am in total awe of your collection. I really thought my collection was huge lol. I have had some of my make up for a few years and a lot of them go bad. I found a beloved concealer in a make up bag and it was ruined, a lot of my eyeliners and mascara have dried up. 2 years ago I bought a bottle of expensive perfume. I used it daily but it was still half full and had to toss it. 😢😢

Ok only 4 minutes in and just have to say I love the storage and I haven't seen anyone else with the same units (but I live a sheltered life!) Anyway my point is I have been resisting getting large storage for my makeup collection but I need to either get rid of it or organize it! I have been trying so many different types from clear small makeup bags and then larger makeup bags/cases. Next I tried hard plastic stand alone units but those are all just stored unused in a closet as they take up too much space for the relatively small amount of storage they give. I will be using your links as I just love the way your room looks. The only problem will be when my husband gets a look at just how much crap I have! When it is all spread out everywhere I don't think he notices it as much. But maybe I am just kidding myself! Maybe he will be happy it is all in one place finally!!!! Thanks so much for sharing the links to everything!

I keep my powder products like eye shadow palette, blush, bronzer until they change texture, smell or stop performing well. Cream products and mascaras etc go bad faster so I try to get rid of mascara every 6-9 months
