Flashlights are the single most difficult item to get any use out of now that the 'other effects' are gone. The best 'new player' experience is to try and not use items except boxes and medkits at the start. Everything else, you don't touch until you learn them. Seeing him have a bad time was... Sad. DBD is so unforgiving for new players.

Honestly, this was so much fun watching you playing DBD with friends, would love to see you occasionally playing it more! A thing to remember, that solo queuing can get pretty frustrating, since one has less control over what players one will get during the match. So if you eventually will stick to SWF only, that would be totally understandable. Do what works for you best and what keeps the game fun the most ❤❤

As someone who plays regularly DbD, this video taught me how many instincts I've developed for the game. Like at 57:07, the red light of the exit gate is very obvious to me, but to someone who doesn't play regularly, I can totally understand how the collapse can make the gate's lights blend in and disorient you. That match, the Trickster had hooked you so close to the exit gate that I thought you two were gonna escape! But yeah, once you get used to the game, regardless of whether you play as killer or survivor, it is more of a game of tag than a horror game. Also... that last chase... holly molly you juiced that ghost face!

DBD is a fun game, very entertaining! You all did really well too, there's so many little things to learn about each perk and killer so that's not always easy. More would be good! Maybe finding a 4th Creator/Friend who's crazy good to teach the trio could be super cool too! Solo content of course is good as well 😊

Also what the "boring" trickster was probably doing was tricking you into believing he was a "friendly" killer, then he was going to murder you all in the end game. Hence the insta-down perks at the end and the "no way out" block to prevent you from escaping quicker. It didn't work out for him because he didn't pull it off very well and you didn't do the typical "friendly killer" thing of just hanging out with him, but there are videos of other DBD streamers pulling it off successfully.

Theres a tech called "CJ" ! A survivor goes down in front of a pallet with an ally with flashlight nearby. When the killer attempts to hit ally, drop the pallet so that the killer and the downed survivor are on the other side. The killer will attempt to break the pallet, so vault the pallet to block the interaction. The killer then picks up the downed survivor, because its the same button. Immediately vault back and shine a flashlight in their face. CJ completed!

I got so nervous every time you healed right under the hook. Try not to do that. Most of the time, the killers will return to the hook if they're close when they get the unhook notification. You did very well over-all! I'm glad you're having fun with the game and I hope you'll play it more.

I don't know if you already know this or not, but always running is not always good. Running will generate "scratch marks". the killer can track you via scratch marks. The scratch marks are only visible to the killer unless you have a certain perk that shows you them. Fast vaults do the same thing, but they also notify the killer where you fast vaulted. If they're near enough they'll see the scratch marks on the side you landed on after the vault. Hope you see this if you play more DBD. Its a good tid-bit of information that can be handy to remember especially when hiding from the killer.

Next time your in Lery's, look for the signs by the rooms, if the sign is dark there's no gen inside it, if it's blinking, there's a gen inside needs repairing, and if it's glowing the gen inside is done!

The killer does get a notification when you are unhooked... so if the killer isn't far enough away or distracted, then they'll just run right back to the hook when they get told someone was rescued.

Also the reason you were screaming in that ghostface game was because of hex face the darkness, makes people scream randomly when the killer injures a survivor. Also super op tip: look for flashing lights/signs in lerys, means there’s an unfinished gen in there.

Quick tip for indoor maps btw Insym, if you’re on an indoor map, the way you can see the generator lights is by looking at the signs on the wall outside rooms and if they’re flickering there’s a gen inside 🫡 and also if you play again with cj and psycho, I’d recommend aura reading perks like Empathy so that you can see them and help them out easier 🤞

Insym if you want to find generators easy try the perk deja vu. It reveals the three generators which are closest together and you get a bonus to speed. Used to be 60 seconds. Maybe you do this in the video but it’s a great perk.

I used to play Dead by Daylight in the past. I was always better a killer than survivor. Players HATED me, however if I could tell the players seemed new at the game, I would take it easy on them to give them a chance. On one occasion, the remaining survivor must not have known about the hatch because he kept working on generators. I walked my killer character over and managed to get him to follow me and I showed him the hatch so he could escape. Wanted to help with the newbies so they could learn the game.
