Loving the videos; as my 15 yr old Gabby and I are doing the same thing with a 64 Falcon Wagon. Great job to your dad; you are learning invaluable life lessons along the way.

Ellie, thank you again. I diagnosed the horn all the way until applying the "contacts" at which point it didn't blow the horn. I will definitely look at bending that inner "contact" tip. Hopefully that does it.

Glad it helped. Good luck on restoring your horns!

the most satisfying thing one can do is fix an old car and bring it back to life. you will learn how to problem solve restore and repurpose old forgotten parts . some of my best memoirs have been under the hood of my old f-100 Ford truck many times late into the night. she at times has made me angry!! making me walk home on a cold winters day . many times i have called it quits but i always forgiver her and we work things out. she 49 years old 279,000 miles . on that windshield . she may have some rust and a few wrinkles but so do i .. keep wrenching young lady you are the future the country needs :)

Ellie now that you have your dash all repainted and looking good, you need to replace your steering wheel. You should try to find an imitation wood steering wheel from a 65 Ford Falcon Futura Sprint, it would look awesome with your new dash!
@ElliesGarage3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That sounds cool, but I have fallen in love with this original steering wheel. Dad and I are going to do a restoration video on us filling all of the cracks and repainting it later this summer.

I can understand that you love your original steering wheel, and it will look awesome when you restore it, but do yourself a big favor and check out what a steering wheel from a 65 Ford Falcon Futura Sprint looks like, I think once you see it, you may just fall in love with it too! The 65 Ford Falcon Futura Sprint has the bucket seats like you are putting in, a center console,, and all you would need now to match the look is that steering wheel, it is very, very pretty! I am really impressed with the job you have done so far Ellie, keep up the good work!

@@ElliesGarage Ellie, you are more than welcome for the comment! With today's world and computers, cell phones, and video games you impress the hell out of me, and your dad should get a standing ovation for dedicating so much time and effort in helping you with your 65 Falcon Carl! Most young people your age are just hung up on video games and have no clue to the rewards of doing something like you are doing, and one of the most impressive things about all of this, is you are a girl. Most girls would have no clue to do anything like you have. I have 4 daughters and they all did things in their teenage years too, not just sit on a computer, and they have grown up to be well balanced adults, just like you will be. I just think it is totally amazing what you have done, and I can't get enough of your videos. Since I found your KZbin channel, I have been telling everyone I know, and for them to check your channel out for themselves! Ellie you Rock!

My response to your horn exuberance went from “yay!” to “Ok, that’s enough horn” really quickly. It’s funny how I was worried about what other people would think from the other side of the country, on my phone, with headphones on. Great job, keep up the good work! :)

I just bought a 64 falcon and my horn isnt working. Im going to try these steps. But I live close to my neighbors so tooting the horn that much would be a big problem 😄

I got a 1970 Plymouth duster and I’m trying to figure out if it goes directly from the turn signal switch to the horn and if I can just connect a spliced into the horn wire to a relay.

was there a relay? i have a 65 Meteor and i cannot find the relay for the horn maybe it doesn't have one.
@jeffplant32 жыл бұрын
Is there a little plastic piece under the horn hub that keep the horn “up” when not pressing it? My 65 had that and it has two little tabs on that plastic bracket. If you press too hard, it can break and it will sit off balance on the hub. Be gentle with it
@Qspotlessdetailing Жыл бұрын
Does the wire from the turn signal switch of the horn run directly to the power of the horn with a power wire to the battery or through a relay and then to the horn

Hi Ellie, I am from Argentina and I own a 1967 Deluxe 187ci Ford Falcon. I love your content! I have a question, have you think about customize your Falcon? Maybe make a swap or improve the 200ci Inline 6 engine? Best Regards from Buenos Aires!
