Hi!!!!! In this video I camp in a very special place--the first place I solo camped at the beginning of my trip. When I was about to eat my dinner, I heard a very STRANGE sound in the woods. I have no idea what it is or what it could be as I've never heard anything like it. Can anyone tell me what it is? Sorry if I'm freaking out over a bunny or a bird. LOL.
Strange sound starts at 8:15

I've lived in the country all my life, and that is most likely a fox. Either fighting or in distress of some sort. They can make very creepy sounds but, not bigfoot.

I like how Sydnie is always alert, prepared and paying attention to her surrounding. Being vigilant is wise. Do this everywhere especially in big cities or anywhere. Maybe that deer was warning of other animals. Its nature and animals are aware of nature than humans.

Oh geesh you`ve got bigfoot on the brain. I`ve lived in the appalachian mountains for 61 years and I`ve never even heard of a bigfoot until the internet came along. I knew people 90+ years old when I was as young as 10 and they never mentioned anything like that either. That`s 150 years of accumulated first hand experience. For all the people in the comment section that will probably bombard me with their opinions...don`t bother and waste your time. Strange noises you will hear that make all kinds of different weird creepy noises: Deer, Foxes, Bobcats, Hound dogs in heat, and various birds. What you really need to worry about around here are humans and bears, bears not that much.

Congrats on reaching 5k subscribers! I think you heard a doe (wife) arguing with her buck (husband) about what they're gonna have for dinner. 🦌 230 squats? Dang girl, that's impressive. You'll be able to hike up mountain trails on your next trip to a popular National Park. Smoky Mts. is my guess. 🏞

Historically, I have found Sasquatch of the PNW subvariant to be omnivores. They enjoy berries and small prey. Not the human type of prey. As many have answered, most likely deer. Cougars wont make sounds. But if it gets dead silent and you feel like you are being watched.... Thats when a cougar is by. Glad you have stayed safe in your travels with all the tools available to you. I hope you found cover before the hurricane hit.

(David Attenborough narration): Here we see an adventurous urban female encountering the sounds of wild creatures within the Smokey Mountain Forest. Notice the distinct mating call of the North American Sasquatch as he rambles through the underbrush in search of his most favored liquid…Pink Lemonade. Will he overcome his extreme shyness and risk an appearance & possibility of being captured on “film” by our intrepid camper? It looks as though we will yet again be denied a rare sighting as Sydnie downs the last of the pink lemonade, even though she taunts him from hiding by performing his natural mating call response of repeated squats. Alas, she’s not nearly hairy enough, too small, and has an aroma completely unfamiliar, yet very pleasing. 😂😂😂😂 Maybe next time, Sydnie! 😂😂😂😂

Sydnie, fudge striped cookies, i saw those, lol. Definitely adding those on to my shopping list. Not lying but i had that same knorr packet for dinner last night, it was delicious with air fried chicken thighs mmm. sounds like someone screwing around in the woods kids or something just by the yelping (maybe). A real good night sleep and getting up at a decent time will keep the noises away. Thanks for Sharing...

Julia here, I carry my H&K VP .40 all of the time, always keep it loaded with one in the chamber and a full mag at all times. If your pistol is not loaded and you are sitting down in your chair and somebody rushes you from a blind spot, you will never have a chance to get that gun loaded. Me and my husband come from a family of Marines and my husband is a Fed and again, he says and I am in a 100% agreement, never carry an empty firearm. Criminals don't carry them unloaded. That noise you heard was a distressed deer. Be vigilant and safe❤ I am not sure if your videos are a week behind in posting, but I hope you kept up with the news of Hurricane Helene moving in that direction.

Nice videos! FYI, young people think “car camping” means “sleeping in your vehicle”. That’s a recent distortion from the influence of “Vanlife”. The dictionary definition is “a type of camping which involves driving rather than walking to a campsite”. That’s how previous generations used the term: Driving to a campsite and setting up a tent or sleeping outside (because you didn’t have an RV to sleep in, and you weren’t backpacking). No “car camper” slept in their car unless the tent leaked or the bears were menacing, lol.

I read the comments and most of the genius’s say it’s a deer, alerting other deer to - “danger”. For the genius’s in the audience, what does a deer define as - “danger”? My guess is, it could be a wide variety of things. So the folks making snarky remarks about Sydnie preparing herself, should think about what a deer defines as - “danger”. The “danger” could be something “danger”ous to a human as well.
