The gusto with which he sings while his face screams disdain for the soldiers around him and the faux-camaraderie of the bayonets line that underscores it, were perfectly delivered by Sam - while Louis grabbing him by the waist and confronting Lestat with his jealousy (I love his 'creeper' line delivery as much as Sam's 'hearts dancing') was wonderful too! Love all of their acting choices throughout this show!🤩

I think people are missing the point on why Lestat was mad. It comes when he says, "I watched you pull over and drain a dog and chase rats". He is mad because the act between Louis and the guy meant something! Louis is making it seem like it was meaningless, and it wasn't which is why Lestat is screaming! It's a "Don't you dare lie to me" moment. He heard their hearts dancing. And after, Louis chose to feed on animals instead of the guy! Meaning he cared for him, otherwise he would have fed on him. That is what Lestat is saying in those words. I totally understand him. I said an open relationship I didn't say fall in love with someone else!

No blame but an observation… Lestat has lived an immortal life for hundreds of years compared to Louis, yeah? He has had time to mourn the loss of his familial ties? He has battled loneliness due to longevity but won (in his mind) when he found Louis. And the reason for not wanting to share Louis, the man he loves, so readily with others. Louis becomes an immortal while under duress: due to his place in the world, grieving the loss of his brother Paul and Ms Lily. Saddened/depressed his mother blames him for his brother’s death. Having to witness his family die (mother) and eventually break from him ( sister and her family). Which is why I believe he doesn’t take to killing in a city where he lives among family ties whose humanness is the life line for him. Obviously, a lot is going on with the relationship but I rather not indulge in any particulars at the moment.

I was on Twitter and someone made a good point about this scene. What Lestat heard was their heart beats speed up because they were aroused. The same thing that happens to his heart with Antionette. He was just jealous that Louis hooked up with someone else. And tired to use the excuse that he sensed some great love between them so he could act out. He would have been pissed no matter who Louis hooked up with it could have been a stranger. And it’s really funny because he brought this on himself. Not only with they I need variety thing. It’s weird. I just noticed that in episode one in the church when Lestat is asking Louis to join him in immortality, his eyes are super bloodshot (like broken blood vessels) and they are the same way after telling the soldiers to go with his mind. He pulled out all the tricks in his vampire bag to get Louis!., First he stalked him, then he went to all Louis regular hang-outs. and when ever he was around him he was seducing him, doing vampire telepathy, love bombing, and more. He tricked him into a 3-Some with Ms. Lily,(Lestat killed her.) But Louis said he didn't plan on going back there, he just counted that as a one-night-stand, But Lestat wouldn't leave him be... He was playing mind control games, then busted in the church! smh. It was under duress!

i think that producers overreacts too much with adding "superpowers" to Lestat such as this hypnosis of them all or in other scenes where he stops time and peoples when they have poker !! its too overhype and of course they live for years in that quarter just like town and nobody of peoples never ask why we didnt see Louis&Lestat never at Day

It's not. Lestat is an extremely powerful vampire; he drank the blood of ancient, powerful vampires prior to arriving to NOLA. He hides his powers as to not scare Louis off or intimidate him. As the season progresses, he's no longer able to hide them and eventually reveals his flying ability when he loses his temper in episode 5.

@@Mr11ESSE111Lestat is still very young for a vampire at the time so there is still limits to how long his powers will last of one person. We also saw how weak he gets after using them. Plus he loves to kill. So he’s not going to take someone’s blood without violence.
