And this is part of the reason EVERY week we see price increase to off set this amount of waste. Shop lifters are usually blamed as big part for stock loss causing price increases when shops throwing out millions £s goods nationwide.

This is shocking 😳 There are so many families with young adults and little girls who really could use this. Flabbergasted ....why throw it away...just Donate it !! Very happy You found this 👍

Your daughter will have a blast looking through all of those! Great 👍

The supermarkets charge 30p for carriers in the name of using less plastic yet the bin is full of plastic coat hangers which could be reusable, shame on you ASDA.
@robertoxley7976Күн бұрын
I always thought they were supposed to collect them and send them back to recycle?
@FrancescaMargiotta-x3p22 сағат бұрын
So sad these couldn't be donated. I go to a regular food bank and there are so many little girls there who would love a little gift bag of cute things like this. It would cost ASDA NOTHING to put this aside and give it to a local charity.
@coldbreeze6344Күн бұрын
They could have put them in small gift bags and given them to kids on the way out

'Expect the unexpected 'as they say. What an unbelievably fantastic score!🎉 I always love watching in anticipation of what you will find in the bins!

it's still crazy to me that they don't think to donate unsold items to charities + they throw everything in landfill! they don't even think about recycling the items.. it's shocking.

Awesome score! Not sure if your daughter is into those kind of things, but if she is I hope she gets first dibs on those treasure tubs 😃

I'm horrified, like you not surprised anymore, but still somehow horrified. Costume jewelry is the lifeline for many to add a bit of sparkle to their lives, especially younger ones. Headbands are used by absolutely every facet of society, no excuse. Donations don't even seem to exist in these companies minds. Thank you Martin.
@annettemiller1273Күн бұрын
Do they have flea markets where you live? You could sell the stuff and make a fortune. Even if you sell the hair clips for 1.00 each .
@HazmattiКүн бұрын
kind of, we call them boot sales - organized events where anyone can sell their old belongings from the boot (trunk) of their car to make a bit of money, usually just have to pay a small fee for the space to the event organizers.

Disgraceful throwing all this stuff away, Asda you should be ashamed . Good on you Martin for saving them from landfill.The person who made the comment on you making a fortune is just jealous. Anyone is free to do the same if they want to, you're the one who's spending time driving around it's up to you what you choose to do with it.

I’m always scandalised by how much big companies throw away, while people (probably their literal customers) are struggling to afford to pay for their food and bills.

Is that a new torch. It’s fab but you didn’t used to hold it in front of your camera before, you’d stick it to the side etc, any chance doing that again please. As I love your vids but nit the new ‘style’ 😘

Why if they donate food can't they donate this stuff family's ate finding it hard to make ends meet a item or two like hair bobbles or earrings would make a child smile shame on these bigger stores not to donate to food banks and charities bread veg and miscellaneous would make a world of difference
