One of the best takes I have seen on this so far and I have thought a lot about this myself recently. Being a father myself I share your concerns 100%. It is one thing to create opportunities for your kids, but it is also a duty of good parents to save your children from harm. Looking at the way Bronny is playing it seems obvious to me that he is more living his father's dream than his own. Skills are one thing but hustle and hunger are another and I do not see any of those traits. Those are traits you cannot really learn. Putting the kid into the focus of the complete country and beyond and letting everyone see him fail to me is a very cold hearted thing actually. It is like watching a expected train crash live on TV. Seems to be one of the constants in LBJ's career that others pursue HIS dreams for a while (thinking they are their own) and when they are not of use anymore are discarded and blamed. I would so much hope that the future proves me completely wrong on this and Bronny somehow makes it. Not so much for LBJ but for Bronny himself! 🤞

Although he looks mentally sound, this "slump" has a tendency to turn into an ocean of failed dreams and expectations. What LBJ has done to his son is beyond any reason. It' exposes him as selfish, ruthless manipulator. Sociopath. He's the one who's the real "Joker" of the NBA. He's throwing his own son under the bus, to fulfill his "dream", because deep down inside, he know's that he'll never be the GOAT. Sad, pitiful man...

I know rumors are going around that the NBA might have a new expansion team in Las Vegas in a few years, with LeBron eying to become part owner of it. It's also rumored that LeBron plans to sign Bronny to that team too. I think that'll be a huge mistake because how would you handle that situation. You're already blowing smoke up your kid's a** and everyone else's a** that Bronny is this great player, so how are you going to justify paying Bronny the league minimum when all you've done is tell him he's a great player? And even if you pay Bronny the minimum, the star player of that team may not like Bronny. And considering LeBron literally turned the NBA into a league where players tell the owners what to do, I'm curious to see how well LeBron would handle that role reversal with an employee telling him what to do for once. Instead of it being the other way around where he was the employee telling his boss what to do.

Didn't lebron say he would never want any kid to experience that kind of pressure?

lbj is selfish. using his son to make him the "first player to play with his son" moment. very selfish.

Bronny James is a complete disaster, and yes, I %100 agree and feel bad for this kid. He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders because of who his dad is and how he got into the NBA. He's going to have a tough time. Hopefully he will have the mental fortitude to get through this and still be a decent guy. I would say right now he sounds like a really decent guy.

Lebron worked this thing out based on his ego, Lakers acted irresponsible yielding to Lebron's desires and wishes... the NBA didn't do a thing about it... It's terrible and shameful... The NBA was already low... it went even lower as "professional" sports league...

No NBA team would even consider drafting an athlete who had a heart attack let alone Bronny terrible stats in college.

This is how bronny shines against players who are not even nba role players. The role players will expose him even worse. Then the stars will really embarrass him… unless Klutch sports steps in and demands teams don’t guard bronny too hard

Or he may have a worse medical condition. Easy sideline forever. Poor kid got his wing cut before flying. Leaving all to wonder what could have happened if he were healthy. LA circus on NBA tv!

I totaly agree. Bronny will soon be one of the most hated players in the league because he gets the minutes and the money without being able to deliver. This move is just bad for the Lakers and people will let him feel it although it's his dads fault.

Let's not forget Bronny could of simply stayed in college and continued to work on his game. Bronny is to blame for what is happening to him. He is a grown man and the real problem is that he accepted two special gifts he didn't earn. Lebron can cry all he wants about wanting to play with Jr but you'd think he would know better than to grant a wish based on his personal feelings. That's insane especially when he knows that his son is not ready yet.🤔 Bronny's biggest issue as a basketball player period is that he would be having a tough time trying to compete for a starting job at North Carolina Central University, a Division 2 program belonging to the CIAA conference. That's the actual reality of his situation which he knows already. Hell the fact that he is even in the NBA period is beyond unbelievable especially when he knows he's not supposed to be there at the moment. I'm not saying he doesn't have the ability it's just that he hasn't proven anything yet to be given the opportunity he received is all. At the end of the day you can't fake being a Pro NBA Basketball player and that's fact!!!!! If you don't believe me ask Bronny!!!!! Maybe or perhaps Bronny came into the NBA thinking he could simply get lucky and shots would magically go in for him. I don't get the sense he would tell the world he made a mistake by declaring for the NBA draft too soon. I believe he'd rather continue to fail and then blame his heart condition for why he mysteriously can't play anymore. If you don't believe it then watch and see what happens if his production doesn't start to pickup and fast like yesterday. Unless he already knows his future was going to be short anyway on and off the basketball court. We shall see.🤔

LeBron is the single biggest reason the NBA is in decline. MJ and Kobe ELEVATED and GREW the game. Lebron's circus act has destroyed the competitive integrity of the NBA. He's a cancer to the NBA: the two lowest rated Finals of the last 20 years involved LeBron: Cavs vs Spurs in 2007 and Lakers vs Miami in 2020. LeOverrated has to go! Now he's officially destroyed the Lakers. When will it stop?

If you feel sorry for Bronny, I feel sorry for you for feeling sorry for Bronny. He's a 19 yr. old playing for a great franchise for millions of dollars. What's there to feel sorry for? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most 19 yr. old's would love to be in his situation. Please stop drinking the haterade and congratulate this man for already being successful in life. By the way, I'm going to also go out on a limb and say that it is very possible for a 19 year old NBA rookie to improve his game. Congratulations Bronny James for living out your dream and making an NBA roster and hopefully you'll go on and become one of the most sought after and reliable players in the NBA. That would really make all these haters mad.

Not just the playing time but anyone that would get drafted with his stats wouldn’t get a multimillion dollar contract especially a four year deal! He shouldn’t even be in the nba and that’s not to sound like a hater it’s just facts

I think it is just about being the first father & son duo in the NBA. LeBron told his son that he has nothing to worry about. If he doesn't make it he has enough money, he'll be the first player to play with his father, he was on the Lakers roster and if everything goes downhill he still can play overseas because of the marketing. Those are the "pro" things if Bronnie isn't hardcore competitive. Else it's gonna be tough for him...

A few years ago I understood why my dad wanted me to play sport. He thought that would help me build confidence and strong will. It kinda did but I ended up getting bullied by a guy in my club. This dude had a problem with me and he ended up being r*acist towards me. When my dad talked to me about the fact that it was a good thing for me to play basketball I said "just because it worked for you doesn't mean it has for me" I still love basketball and since Kobe passed (since he's the reason I wanted to play in the first place) I miss it even more. But at the end of the day I lost confidence in others and I don't think I have the maturity to go pro. I talk about it because I see a parallel here. Lebron thinks this is going to help Bronny being better. But if people see how much he doesn't seems to be inveeeted in it, it probably means Bronny doesn't want to be here. And the man is probably lost because he's 19. That's possible that he wants to do something else than basketball and is forced to play right now. But we'll never know because no one is honest in the NBA If people show you who they are, believe them !
