Using AI to mock things for real artists is the best ethical outcome. I've used some AI art with the only purpose to give to a real person as inspiration or an idea. It really can visually get out what is in your head. I imagine this would work if you weren't a musician, but had an idea for a video, commercial, or movie. You could mock it up and hand it off to an artist. Otherwise, as of now, these AI songs usually aren't up to par in quality and often sound like a limewire rip of a song. The depth and quality isn't there. Maybe some people would like it, but a lot of standards to even get into Spotify exist. Trained ears will know. You can't just upload anything. You need specific quality, file types, and certain standards.

Meanwhile there is even a feature called "cover" where it transforms your humming directly into a different style. So you have no problem with randomness in the output when it trys to expand like you did in your video. Instead you can directly control the melody over its entire runtime. Theoretically... but does it work practically?

is not working for me. meaning that the tune that is generated is nothing like the one i sang and i had chosen a few different genres and none of them incorporated the melody line that i had sang. i kept doing it and it never did use my melody.

Yeah there will be a few AI-assisted artists that may find success, and there will even be some scandals where an already successful artist is caught using AI in new releases, but overall, unlike written media, the emotion of songwriting and singing can never be truly captured by AI, because those things come from lived human experience, something AI can try to replicate but will never fully understand

As a former touring musician in the early to mid 2000’s, I saw what the internet did to the average musician. This is just another step to eliminating and making it all but impossible for the “garage bands” that want to “make it”.

I found this KZbin channel a couple years ago and I think it's been completely AI generated for at least a year... The videos, the subscribers, and maybe even the person is completely AI generated... The channel name is MattVidPro AI... You can tell that it's AI generated because of how many cuts are made during such an extended video timeframe... It's literally physically impossible for a human to make that many cuts and edits to that many videos within a years time...

Currently, ethical concerns are subjective with many different opinions. Some believe AI music is not "real" art and is flooding the music landscape with garbage while eating profits from "true musicians." Others believe AI is a tool that has given them a means to make music from their own ideas. Legally, Suno and Udio, the 2 major players in AI music are involved in a lawsuit with major labels stating that even tho the creations are being AI generated, - the music and songs that were used to train the AI, are copyrighted works and because of this, all of the songs created violate copyright law as they copy from original works that are not of the creator themselves (or something like that, you get the picture).
