In 2024, the sub-Rs 10 lakh space is crowded with tonnes of SUV offerings to choose from, which leaves the buyer spoilt for choice. On that note, here’s a list of the top 10 most affordable SUVs in India.
10. Maruti Suzuki Brezza
Starting price: Rs 8.3 lakh
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the tenth most affordable SUV in India, with a starting price of Rs 8.3 lakh. It gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 103hp and 137Nm. The engine is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic, along with a CNG option.
9. Tata Nexon
Starting price: Rs 8.15 lakh
With a starting price of Rs 8.15 lakh, the Tata Nexon can be had with either a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine making 120hp and 170Nm, or a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 115hp and 260Nm. Both engines are available with manual and automatic gearbox options.
8. Mahindra XUV300
Starting price: Rs 7.99 lakh
The Mahindra XUV300 is available with two 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engines generating 110hp and 131hp. The third engine option is a 1.5-litre diesel, rated at 117hp/300Nm. Pricing for the Mahindra XUV300 petrol starts at Rs 7.99 lakh.
7. Kia Sonet
Starting price: Rs 7.99 lakh
The Kia Sonet facelift was launched in January this year at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh. Powertrain options include a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine, a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre, 5-cylinder diesel. 5-speed MT, 6-speed clutchless manual (iMT), 7-speed dual clutch automatic, 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic are the various transmissions on offer with the Kia Sonet.
6. Hyundai Venue
Starting price: Rs 7.94 lakh
The Kia Sonet’s cousin, Hyundai Venue, undercuts it by about Rs 5,000 at the bottom end. Engine options are the same as the Sonet, i.e. 1.2-litre petrol (83hp), 1.5-litre diesel (116hp), and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (120hp).
5. Maruti Suzuki Fronx
Starting price: Rs 7.51 lakh
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx crossover starts at Rs 7.51 lakh, and is retailed through Maruti Suzuki’s premium Nexa dealerships. It is available with either a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol (90hp/113Nm) or a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol (100hp/148Nm) engine. The former can also be had with an optional CNG kit.

exter only has height and some ground clearance but it still gives a feel of a hatchback and seating is just the copy of i10 if anybody rejects i10 due to seating and comfort they should also reject exter however compared to magnite and kiger. exter provides good engine power but in 3 cylinder segment punch is the best subforemeter comact suv providing a engine of 86.63bhp@6000rpm my choice is tata punch which is value for money.Punch aso provides good seating comfort with headroom and undertighsupport. for my choice punch adventure rythm is the best value for money variant however it omittes some features like hill hold assist,sport mode and wireless charging.... WHO AGREES WITH MU OPINION....

The reason for diminishing popularity of hatchback and sedan cars are due to indian roads and especially speed breaks most of the speed brakes in our country are like small mountains 😅, so people fall for this Morden day scam branding hatchback with high ground clearance as SUV, no youtuber or Auto enthusiast are ready to speak about the manufacturing scams and false advertisement , Maruti branding fronx as SUV is out of context , if people prefer high ground clearance , they better go for cross over cars like s-cross , earlier we use to have a gem , ford freestyle , we miss those thing
