@@ShamelessLainLover That's probably not true. When Disney moved to 3D they didn't just fire all of the 2D animators. Many principles of animation are the same (e.g. anticipation, squash and stretch ect), so a lot of skill sets of computer animation are the same. Glenn Keane is a Disney animator who worked on Beauty and the Beast and Tangled.

@@howiehiew Never said they fired them. Glen Keane, as well as many others started out in 2d but have some skill level in working with 3d. As of early 2019, which is the last time I bothered to check, they haven't hired or been looking to hire any new 2d animators for their production staff. In fact, with the recent Mary Poppins revival they actually temporarily commissioned some of the studio's retired 2d animators just to complete that penguin scene, since they had none up to the job currently staffed. And that's what they do. If ever they need any kind of 2d project completed they simply bring in the old staff. And of course, I'm only referring to their movie production department. As for their cartoon series, I know that they tend to rely on outsourcing. But I'm sure theirs probably exceptions to that. And sorry again for not specifying the department I was referring too.
