I don't understand the hate for chicken from you and your crew, Guga. I get steak is amazing, but there are also a lot of amazing ways to prepare chicken.
@Timmycoo8 ай бұрын
Lol I love chicken but since Guga is the "steak guy" on this channel, he justified it by saying chicken breast is usually eaten when people are on a diet lmao. They always end up liking the chicken he cooks anyways so it's funny.
@dragdive8 ай бұрын
I agree, it's over the top. Obviously steak is amazing and different, but chicken is to. They act like you have to go to extremes to make chicken good, when I'm making it 2 or 3 nights a week and it's always delicious and easy.
@welcometothejungle32228 ай бұрын
@dragdive Exactly! I eat mostly chicken and turkey as my meats as they are packed with tons of protein (a little more than steak) with very little saturated fats while also having countless ways of preparing delicious and satisfying meals. Steak is amazing, too, but for me, steak is a treat to be eaten a couple or few times a month. Both are absolutely delicious in their own way. And if people have a hard time cooking the breast without drying it out, use thighs. Slightly more saturated fat than breast, but still less than most steak, and very very delicious.
@panic_time8 ай бұрын
that's maybe because a lot places have a poor quality of chicken so that might justify their hate ?
@BrooklyKnight8 ай бұрын
@@Timmycoo Well yeah if you only eat chicken breast, you'd hate it. Thighs are much better, I think most people I know prefer to cook with the thigh.

Hey Guga, I'm from Turkey. The potato dish you made is called "Kumpir" here. You need to try it with some more ingredients! Such as Italian salad, Kısır (Turkish dish), Olives and Mushrooms. Especially sausage, it is already the foundation of the dish. :) Feel free to mix it up. Mayonnaise and ketchup as toppings. While preparing the potatoes, after cooking, you should cut the middle of the potato, add butter and cheese, and mix it until it becomes creamy inside the potato. Double cheese is always more delicious.

People are always talking smack about chicken breast, but idk why. It is by far the best tasting protein with the best texture. If cooked properly, of course. The only reason most people don't like it is because they can't cook it properly.

There's an old technique they used a lot in France in the years before Escoffier - "larding' meats by sewing thin strips of pork fat throughout them. Some of the old books had copperplate engravings for illustrations that showed significant amounts of fat in the meats (that were usually spit roasted as well). I used to love doing this w/tougher cuts of meat, then either slow roasting or braising them. I did this a bunch of times to old male chickens (the old cock) for Coq au Vin- always stellar. I tried it several times on beef chuck roasts w/varying degrees of success. The best one was on a whole Capon. It's hard as hell to find a larding needle now! It took quite a bit of practice to thread it through w/out tearing . This sous vide deal looks great

my recepy for deboned chicken split in pieces with skin add all the pieces in a pot, for 500 grams of meat i add 5 grams of garlic powder, 50 grams of butter and salt as you want, put the pot on a stove just until the chicken change the color to white.. dont cook in the pot take a tray, add baking paper, add the chicken with the skin side down, and all the butter and juices, and bake for 60-90 minutes untill the skin is caramelized , turn the chiken skin side up, for 10 min in the owen, and take it out from the owen. best served with a pickles sauce to cut the fattnes. Guga, try this and see jut for a test not for a video ... for me its the best way to make chiken (works allso with wings) Cris here, congrats from Romania
