Hard work is the fundamental factor in success on the homestead. I needed to get the snowplow mounted and working on the tractor before the snow got too deep on the road. I paid $175 for this plow and I worried if it would work on my tractor without too many repairs.

I know the snow and ice must get tedious, but there has to be something wonderful about living somewhere that has actual seasons.

Shows what can be done with a oxygen acetylene torch along with a light duty flux core. And a little tradesman mentality. 🇺🇸 good stuff right there!

I do appreciate the use of lock nuts. 99% of the time I use 'em in places I probably don't need to, but I don't like stuff coming apart when I don't want it to, either. Good video!

My father was a farm machine welder for 17 years. He is in his late 70's now and this video reminded me of what growing up on the farm was like. He could fix anything... when you have to get the job done to feed the family and you don't extra $$$ you find a way to make it work.

Just a note from a old oilfield hand. The pipe with an upset on each end is production tubing not casing. It really doesn’t matter what you call it because you do good fabrication. Okie

Have you given any thought to asking your uncle if you could put an 6" or 8" pipe into his creek and pipe it across the road into a pond that you will need to dig. That would give you the water needed for your animals. Just my 2 cents worth, by the way were you able to get the excavator?

Great video! Common sense, problem solving and critical thinking are all things that have been lost lately. I'm very thankful for KZbin, I can do research and learn a skill I don't know. But back in my father, grandfather and beyonds time they didn't have this luxury. My grandfather called it Yankee ingenuity. He tried the pass that on to me. Now that I'm 40, I'm beginning to see the benefits and trying to make the shift of doing things myself and not hiring someone to do it for me. It saves me money, I feel better about myself for learning something new and later down the road someone will need help and I'll be able to help them from the skills I've learn. It's a win/win/win. Keep up the great video. I just found your channel, you've gained a new sub. P.S. What were you listening to around the 1:20 mark? I saw your earbuds in and I was just curious.

Thanks Ken. I always listen to podcasts while working. Keeps my brain on track. I was probably listening to Meateater or Radiolab or something... The ability to think through something and figure it out and maybe even improve it along the way is probably one of the more fulfilling things a person can do. Keep it up!

Hi. Looks like the video jumps some of the attachment fabrication from 3:15 to 3:22. Any chance to add a few photos of the missing points? I am looking to do something similar and would like to glean some ideas. Thank you.

Very nice job I have one concern are the 4 bolts hardened bolts that bolt it to the tractor? I am afraid they may fracture with all the force. Other then that you have very nice skils
