I Installed TSP Stage 1 on my 2020 Civic Si.. But Somethings NOT RIGHT

I have no idea what happened in the upload/flashing process, but the car isn't right. I know I followed the directions correctly, and I downloaded the right tune from Two Step Performance that they emailed me, but the car only hit 20 psi in the most aggressive mode. It is supposed to be up around 24/25.
This was our genuine reaction to the tune. TAKE THIS VIDEO WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, because I probably did something wrong along the way and that is the reason for it not working properly. I will fix it
The rematch against the Cobalt SS is still on for this weekend, so stay tuned for that.

Great vid Cameron, and like the others have committed Vivian is a keeper! Monitor your intake temps, if they are more than 5 or10 degrees above ambient temperature you are NOT going to see the boost you are hoping for. Upgrade your intercooler and this WILL change. Your care seems to be running great. This is why they call it turbo season here in the midwest when it starts hitting 45-50 degrees, because the intercooler become much more effective at keeping from heat soaking. 27won, Mishimoto, PRL are all going to make a huge difference in making consistent power. The OEM heat soaks after one pull. Hope this helps. I think it was Mishimoto that did a video in infrared showing how the heat soak in theirs vs factory. I will be upgrading mine asap before summer. Also, if you try a pull after it has cooled off like late night you should see better results.

Thanks Matt! I plan on getting an intercooler upgrade soon! Since I'll be keeping this through the summer and most likely selling this for the 2021 BRZ (if its the 2nd gen) this fall, so the civic will definitely need to run cooler this summer

FYI, you can actually have on the fly map switching without the tsp tune. It’s a k tuner feature.

On tsp tune for 16k miles with prl intake and intercooler upgrade. I WOT almost everyday and clutch holds it just fine. From comments I saw you fixed the problem. Cheers and enjoy this tune! Intercooler will give a stronger pull at top end and less turbo lag. It would be the next best upgrade

OTF map switching has been available for a while on the ktuner base tunes with the latest update from their website. its under Quick adjustments and can be configure per your liking is possible you have a ktuner base tune loaded.

Your videos are always cool, I even like to go back and see the old ones you made with the 9th gen and Corvette. As for the car though.., feels like it's not as good of a sports car as we all thought/wanted. Perhaps a perfect daily driver, but: when you have perform a ritual to turn off TC, mod out the piped in sounds yourself, driver assist features assist way too much, you're paranoid about pushing the engine much further because it's already tiny and stressed with the turbo, etc.., doesn't seem like a car meant for real fun in the long run. Hopefully I'm blowing the negatives out of proportion, but not sure the positives make up for it.

I flashed mine..it gets 24 psi but seems slower now than base Ktuner map 3. I am not impressed with the tune at all. I agree the tune doesn't feel like it does anything..I am disappointed in it.

I think there might be something wrong with yours, because mine is a noticeable difference. You can see the first video where I raced the Cobalt SS on my stock tune and then rematched him on TSP Stage 1

Certain area’s around the world give a different elevation & allows you to hit a certain PSI. If you dont have a Catless DP you wont feel the full throttle.

Happened to my tsp stage 1 sport hatch after I installed an intercooler. It was only hitting 20psi on map 3 then I drove it around for 30 mins and went back to normal hitting 24-25 psi

Did you figure out the issue? Before saving tunes to the V1 display, make sure to name them appropriately so there’s less confusion. The touch panel on the V1 is not anywhere even close to the accuracy on say a smart phone. Touching the screen on a certain area may engage a different part of the screen. I know mine does anyway.

I sometimes have a problem when I shift to third gear. After I installed hondata I feel like the boost drops for a second when I shift from second to third and then kicks in. Any idea what might be the issue? FYI I only added 6 pounds of boost(which is max boost recommend on stock clutch?) and the car only has 2500 miles on it and no other modifications. Last the issue occurs only when I sometimes push on the car. When i driving normal I don’t experience anything wrong.

What your looking at on the Ktuner live is MAP it's boost pressure out of exhaust it's not total boost getting pressured by the turbo. There's no.way to look at live boost numbers through the Ktuner module. At least to my knowledge.

Cameron, I recently installed the Ktuner & TSP stage 1 tune. My 2020 Si Sedan is 100% stock other than this. I just did a WOT pull in map 3, "Standard"19 psi was achieved. Hondata is better in my opinion it’s 24 psi to 28psi depending on settings you choose you can even do a e 85 tune on the car those motors love and are built for it and allows anti lag it’s sounds sick but not good on turbo specially is loud if it’s straight piped best sounding Honda straight piped in my opinion.

I feel like you don’t do research on products you decide to throw together. If you even just would read TSP website description you would know, it’s not accounting for the PRL cobra (which I owned) and your exhaust (I had a PRL Catless dp and fp ) you also have BBG which will limit your boost to keep from destroying your clutch. Or the ramp up of the boost either. Try looking through your tune, the settings, your tables and settings. I had a Ktuner in 17 too btw.

I noticed the same thing with my Stage 2 tune. I was only hitting 19-21lbs in 1st to 3rd gear. Once I hit 4th gear it peaks at 26-27lbs. Honestly I think it might be set up for boost by gear

Do you have a race maf or street maf? Tsp has different tunes for this. Should be up to about 25-26 psi. I think your tune file is incorrect still.

You have to hold down the cancel button one more time to select the map. If you dont select the map by holding it down, then it doesnt do anything

All I did was redo every single step of the process. I deleted the ktuner manager software from the computer and redownloaded it from their website and then did everything again. for some reason it worked the second time

Cameron Hill so i played around with it and put it on the third slot on k tuner and re flashed it and yeah on the boost gauge I’m maxing out at 18 psi. Not sure it definitely feels a lot faster i tried k tuners 23 psi basemap and that one actually captured the peak boost but tsp still felt faster I’m not sure

You definitely don’t have the right tune. Like you said it’s more boost than that and the powerband feels different. I spin tire at the top of second with the tsp one tune in map 3 at I believe 23 psi. I have intake and tune.

Sadly on most newer cars ( save for ford since they offer tunes and aftermarket parts for the mustang) , you are probably right . Lots of people are modding these civics to do 14.5 1/4 mile times and voiding warranty. Not worth it .

@@Spiritcr1jsher I happen to have a 2018 Honda Civic coupe in Aegean Blue metallic with a 2.0 liter engine and the car performs as it should ...it is fast enough and the handling is superb...I leave everything as factory and modifying will just void warranty and ruin resale value (not that I will sell it)....

@@totljag1 no problem at all so far, but i do keep it in map 1 most of the time. Map 2 when im feeling the need for speed. I hadnt tried map3. WOL under factory boost doesnt slip so im fine so far
