I feel like it's a bit disengenous to frame people saying a game is bad because it has sjw stuff. Yes if that is actually why a game is bad, then that is a stupid reason. But those same people wouldn't say the same thing in a good game. It's more often then not a game that focuses on sjw usually has people working on it that are not focused on a making a good game. And that's why it's bad. It's more sjw is synonymous with developers who are not focused on making a good game. Also there is nothing wrong with men wanting a sexualised protagonist female. The same way there is nothing wrong with woman wanting a chiseled gigachad in the Christmas ROM com. The double standard of woman being able to dress how they want.... Also means men are free to appreciate woman that dress scantily clad. It can't be hypocritical. The opinion is divided among woman which is a different issue. Of course less attractive woman want to feel better about themselves. Yet attractive woman often try to dress like sexualised female protagonists...

Really enjoyed the interview Atrioc I do have to push back on one thing Jason said about “forced diversity”. Imo he was being purposely naive on what this means and how this is implemented in gaming or the world as a whole. Forced diversity is stuff like affirmative action (hiring minorities over whites, or hiring women over men). Or making sure you have enough people of color/ enough LGBTQ+ representation in your games. It all comes down to artificial quotas and not natural progression. Many gamers are not concerned with this, they just want a good game and it’s painfully obvious when it’s shoved down their throats. They have every right to call it out when they see it and it’s good they are doing so. Quality should not suffer to push a political message. And if none of it makes sense to him, like he said, then (and I geniunely mean this) he should do his best to step out of his echo chamber and discuss with people who have opposing points of views.

@@Rempel0Yes, but the game needs to be good. Metal Gear Solid gets away with being very political because the games are fun. Whereas some AAAs games who forces diversity or political topics into the core of their design process like Blizzard games are doing it at the detriment of the game development. Diablo IV sucks ass, WoW Dragonflight was average and Overwatch 2 being a thing is laughable because they threw the thing that warranted a sequel (PVE mode)
