historically it has always been intended for the perfume industry not the culinary industry because it's such a niche thing with no real mass market, it makes for great clickbait articles though. in a scarcity comparison. less than 300 pounds of castoreum is produced in america in a year, compared to actual vanilla which is produced in the thousands of tonnes globally so it's literally cheaper to use real vanilla than artificial vanilla made from beavers.

If the Flaus girl had 9 cavities, there's no way she was brushing, using mouthwash, or probably even rinsing her mouth very often... Also, that is such a trash product. Daily "recyclable" pieces of plastic, delivered monthly? They could've designed a head to just accept new floss with a fixed head, instead they have a "recyclable" head that is mixed materials and covered in gunk which most recycling plants will filter out and redirect to the dump, and that's even if people even recycle them. What next, a plastic water-soluble handle bar that holds toilet paper, so you don't have to wipe directly, and just drop it in the toilet after?
@Greatbabyred2 ай бұрын
I don't think it's impossible I mean, diet also plays a huge role in the development of cavities. Drinking soda on daily basis being one of the most common and worst offenders.
@sakaraist2 ай бұрын
Not necessarily just depends on the person and their diet. Some people just have high counts of S.mutans and Candida albicans which results in bacterial-fungal co-coaggregation and accelerated tooth decay. A diet high in lactose,fructose or glucose as well will cause high amounts of lactic acid which is also really bad for your teeth. As for the product, It's a bit complicated. The biofilms and co-aggregates can be incredibly strong, floss doesn't really work as well as the dental industry would have you think. Most dental products are snake oil due to being too soft to effectively do what they advertise. Ther have been some pretty sweet advancements in lab trials on vaccines to prevent that coaggregation though, It's very likely the future of oral hygiene will just be a mouthwash and occaisonal dental checkups.

@AtelierwanwanАй бұрын
I had perfect teeth for years I wasn't even brushing, at all. Suddenly over a period of a year that deteriated dramatically. My dentist says it was because of my eating and drinking habits. Not so much the huge amounts of soda I was drinking but the frequency. Saliva is slightly acidic when you are eating, normally it's not but when you eat it starts the digestion process as you chew. That acidicy isn't much but it does harm teeth if left unchecked. Normally after you've eaten it will all be washed away by normal saliva so it's nothing you have to pay attention to. But if you are constantly snacking or taking swigs of a soft drink periodically then that acidicy doesn't go away and just continues to eat at your teeth. Eventually the enamel is gone and your teeth start to get cavities and such. Dental hygiene isn't just about brushing and flossing. Even after I started brushing properly my teeth were already so badly gone that it's simply slowing the process down. You don't get enamel back.
@damiang888Ай бұрын
There's no way those heads will be recycled, if they really cared for sustentability they would probably make it so it can grab from a roll of floss or something.
