I don't laugh but how does compounding work? I have 1 stock in particular (agnc) paying me 11 bucks a month in dividends ATM. I have it set to automatically reinvest the dividend into the stocks that paid them. So the 11 bucks heads back into agnc. Is that compounding?

Research dividend aristocrats. Pick six to ten from that list. Those companies have a track record of 25+ years of paying dividends. Notable mention, partner with an advisor that has been around for a while and has a knack for picking good stocks.

Dividends from SCHD are typically taxed at the qualified dividend rate, offering a potential tax advantage over ordinary income. Meanwhile, Nvidia has garnered market attention with its substantial contribution to the S&P 500’s earnings growth, with its stock rising over 90% year-to-date and gaining 2.5% on Monday, helping the Nasdaq 100 reach a new record high. I am actively looking for strategic ideas to enhance performance within my $350K portfolio.

Big moving stocks are not the secret to large profits. It involves controlling risk in relation to reward. Wearing the appropriate size and twisting your edge as often as required can help you achieve your objective. This is true for both day trading and long-term investing.

You have a very valid point, . Initially, I began investing independently and experienced significant losses in the market for a considerable period. However, I eventually made the decision to engage the services of a financial expert, despite my initial skepticism. Surprisingly, I managed to outperform the market by over 9%. At first, I considered it a stroke of luck, but this success repeated itself for two consecutive years. As a result, I have since continued to rely on investing through a financial expert

Is VTI with SCHD a good 2 fund portfolio for my Roth IRA?
@NewMoneyNurse
@NewMoneyNurse 3 ай бұрын
Hi there! Thank for watching! VTI and SCHD can be a powerful combo for your Roth IRA, but like any investing strategy, it depends on factors like your time horizon, your age, your target retirement age, etc. VTI gives you broad exposure to the entire U.S. stock market. It's great if you have a long time before retirement because it lets your money grow with the overall market and you have time to recover from any market drops. If you're still building your portfolio, this wide diversification can help you ride the ups and downs of the market over the years. SCHD adds a layer of stability by focusing on companies that pay dividends. These dividends can give you a steady income stream, which is ideal as you get closer to retirement or even during retirement.

They had a 3:1 split, I believe, a month or so ago. So, if you had one share of SCHD, it is now worth 3 shares. It doesn't change the value of the shares at the time of course. For example, if it was previously priced at 90$ for one share now its 30$ for 3 still totaling 90$. I don't know the reason behind the split, but there's a few articles or videos out there if you want to dig deeper into it.

Dividends from SCHD are generally taxed at the qualified dividend rate, often providing a tax advantage over ordinary income rates for many investors. However, current market attention is centered on Nvidia, which has significantly contributed to the S&P 500’s recent earnings growth. Nvidia’s stock, up over 90% year-to-date, gained another 2.5% on Monday in New York, propelling the Nasdaq 100 to a new record high. I’m actively seeking new opportunities to enhance performance within my $350K portfolio and open to strategic ideas.

Many underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they experience setbacks driven by emotional decision-making. A few summers ago, following a challenging divorce, I needed a significant boost to stabilize my business. I conducted thorough research on licensed advisors and found one with exceptional credentials. Despite inflation, she has successfully grown my portfolio from $275K to $850K.

@LardDerd Annette Marie Holt is the advisor I recommend. She’s recognized as an expert in her field and currently works with Empower Financial Services. You can easily verify her qualifications and expertise by searching her name online, as she has deep knowledge of financial markets.

Is it true that people invest into five to ten different ETFs to grow their own money 💰 faster
@NewMoneyNurse
@NewMoneyNurse 2 ай бұрын
Yes! People often mix different ETFs to spread risk and target specific sectors or strategies, which can sometimes help grow wealth faster. Each ETF has its own strengths, and together they can create a balanced portfolio, but it’s all about finding the right balance for your goals. Thanks for watching!

Hey, welcome to investing! I think a lot of Canadian investors use Wealthsimple. It’s user-friendly and has low fees. They also offer fractional shares, so you can invest smaller amounts without worrying about high minimums. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to keep things simple and low-cost. Thanks for watching!

I've come to find that life itself is compound interest, savings, KZbin content creation, stocks, sports practice/ strength training... Anything of value is done in small increments until you amass a large amount

Yeah, I never really thought about it that way before. The key is to keep putting in the work, even in the small things. Thanks for bringing that up! It’s always great to get reminded of how compounding works in all areas of life.

SCHD is a little bit conservative for a young investor but if the dividends help your psychology, especially once you start seeing stocks fall 10% or more then its better than holding onto VOO or something you may sell out of fear. From a historical point of view, you are better to focus on the S&P500 or the total market or even growth and then switch to dividend blue chip stocks like what SCHD holds once you need fixed income

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family...

I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks...

I have other investment plans too, but I see SCHD as a stable, steady option that can serve as a solid foundation in my portfolio. I’m curious to see how it performs over the next ten years compared to my other investments. What about you? Do you have any favorites or stocks / ETFs you’d recommend? Thanks for watching! 🚀
