It's definitely a situation where you put the cards on the table first and confirm who is paying for anything. As you girls said, if you're hosting - naturally, you'd be arranging the food etc. Whether you cook or order in. I think that she did right for invoicing her to show her 'friend', how uncomfortable it's made her. Especially if this is a first for her- to be invoiced. It's not about who can afford what, it's a personality trait and unfortunately, friendships like that don't tend to last.

For some ppl money is an addiction. When they spend they keep thinking about it and just awful when they spend it on someone else. Ironically these people love taking from people and when your a giving person.....you become a prime target. I had to learn my lesson over and over unfortunately. I have ended a number of friendships over this. No regrets.
