Glad I finally listened to this. I do not care for music for the most part, especially with instruments. But lately I have been listening to a select few people who have acapella (no instruments) versions of their music. I feel guilty, but I don’t know if it’s the same… you know what I mean? And non of it has bad words or actions, but it is quite emotional singing… now I’m emotional and I’m blaming it on my ovulation 🤣😭💀. Ugh! May Allah always be on our minds and He protect us.

@oversharerspodcast about grabbing your soul by the neck, there are three stages of the human soul. First is the soul which incites to evil (natural state), second is the self reproving soul (which is the stage of grabbing your soul by the neck) that is the moral state, and the last is the soul at rest (the spiritual state) which is the state we all pursue. That is the state where little things doesn't trick one to vice anymore because one has trained the soul to seek Allah's pleasure first. It is like a step by step thing and one might go back and forth. But the struggle to continue to hold the moral state and advance to the spiritual is the real Jihad for Muslims. Just to say well done guys, there's always something to learn and hold on every episodes of your podcast.
