@@creamsicleorange8266 idk about butlers, but as a regular servant, waiter or however you want to call it, you dont want to hold a tray on a flat palm, trust me. every trainer, manager or senior waiter will teach you to open up your hand a little bit~so i kinda looks like you are holding it on the tip of your 1st three fingers while the other two fingers are kinda clenched, but not too tight. that goes for fine dining also, same rule. and you are actually more maneuverable with the tray itself that way. but as i said, i dont really know is it same for butlers, its just that this way is actually safer as far as dropping things on your guests are concerned. so maybe Mel was trying to say that. I've been to this place (Swallowtail) 5 years ago. It's quite well-known among otome fans. To be honest, I'm not used to this kind of super elegant high tea, so it was the most nerve-wracking dining experience I've ever had lol. They literally do everything for you: pour tea, put the sandwich/biscuit on your plate, place the table cloth on your lap. And when you go to the washroom, they carry your bag for you until you get to the door of the washroom AND when you come out of the washroom, your butler is there waiting for you. You give your bag to him and he will escort you back to your seat. My friend was a regular customer and she had like a card that they stamp on each visit. On her birthday, she gets a handwritten letter from one of the butlers. They're very polite but distant unlike host clubs where the guys are all over you.

I actually had the expectation that Connor would very well on this particular Cafe. I mean like they mentioned in the Trash Taste Podcast, Connor has two modes. Of course not. Go to be treated like a princess. *was taught by them* they didnt teach him how to balance the five dishes on his arm. (Probably didnt trust him. Lol) they go through a school for it. When turning their is a certain angle your feet have to be at to make it look fluid. At one point when showing us how to move one of those food trolling things one of the wheels fell off. (Our equipment not theirs) He just kept it balance and glided across the room with it missing that's when I was like "damn, out of my league." Haha
