My favorite professional runner is Jim Walmsley. He's a 3x winner at the Western States 100 miler (one of my favorite race's to watch in the summer); he holds the Western States 100 course record with a time of 14 hours, 9 minutes, 28 seconds; he has the second fastest road 100k in history with a time of 6 hours, 9 minutes, and 26 seconds; and he can somehow run a 2:12 marathon even though he does most of his training for ultras in the mountains.

My favorite runner would have to be a mixture of you @Clayton Murphy and the Young brothers. Watching both of yall's videos helped me take a lot of things away from yall's training. This was during a time when I wasn't running the times I wanted and started to feel like giving up on running. I had put in the hard work and I wasn't seeing results while other people on my team would skip long runs on the weekends and not try during track sessions and they would be the ones seeing results. Eventually I was able to have a race where I finally pr'd in the 800m, the only event I mostly cared about, and that was enough for me to keep running a little longer. My times were nowhere near where I wanted, but by the end of that season I ran a 2:12. Not great, but I could be mad with it. The next year I started watching your videos along with the Young brothers. Y'all talked about a lot of things to help running performance. Over the next year I fixed my diet, improved my mindset, and put in the work. I got my 1600m time from 5:20 the previous year to a 4:53, I went from a 12:30 2 mile to 10:52, and I was able to run a 2:05 in the 800m. Greatest feeling ever. Also the day I got back from the meet where I ran the 2:05, there was a video by you and the Young brothers for me to watch.😂

My favorite runner is Jakob Ingebrigtsen. As a high school runner who recently found a love for running, I watched many videos and came across Ingebrigtsen. He was really inspiring to me. I watched any video of him I found. Clayton Murphy is also such an inspiration and gives so many helpful tips. During my track season, I considered myself a decent 800m runner. Currently running XC to keep in shape. Also, congratulations Clayton!
