I want the world to know!
Here I share with you my coming out story because hey, everyone's is different and I figured I would add mine to the growing pile.
If anyone out there watching this feels alone, or angry at themselves or is just hating life, please do not hesitate to contact me, I would love to help anyone I can.

I am in the same process myself and actually in denial on some parts. Reading up some of those negative comments, all I can say it is don't let those get to you! Be strong and keep your head up high because that is what I tell myself.

I love your story and the music. I have to say it is so hard to come out. I've come out to friends and family but some friends still don't know yet. I'm not going to tell them of they don't ask. The funny thing is that your friends and family know before you do.

LOL, your eyes look fine. This is a really awesome video! I agree with you, it's really an outstanding feeling being able to tell other people you are gay and not keep it as a secret inside. I actually came out to my entire speech class during a speech. It left me with a feeling of "wow, did I just do that" but also its a real self-confidence booster. Plus when we live our lives openly, it shows other people its okay and normal to be gay. Thank you so much for contrubuting this to KZbin Erik

I had a similar experience of not realizing I was gay until much later than most ( at about 18 or 19). I also had/have a deeply religious background and much more (what are traditionally thought of) as non-gay, more masculine mannerisms. Perhaps there's a connection. I don't know. I'm just glad to see someone else with a similar story.

@Yudanashi I am 17 and I am currently beginning the process of coming out..god it's hard. I think because i've supressed my true self for so long (3-4 years)it seems..strange. I'm still trying to work out whether to tell my friend or parents first and how they'll react. The more i confront my TRUE nature the more i seem to be almost scared. Right now i think i'm just worrying about everything that could happen :S Do you have any hints or suggestions that you think make the process a bit easier?

wow...wondering how life has been in the LDS community now a few years after you have come out? I quit the church and moved country after realising that I can't change myself and I had to pick one. What's the church's response to you (and others alike) who have managed to stay in the church and also accepting who they are? p.s. love your background music...where is it from?

@MEATYOKERRable because there are other ppl *kids/teens etc* who're in need of some support...ANY support....and hearing stories like this gives them that. It's a life preserve. It's a way to form an accessible community to ppl who may not have access to gay friends/community/counsellors etc. There's also nothing "deep" or "dark" about admiting who you really are. Friends would appreciate and respect his courage for being honest with them. It's hard being a minority, but having support is key

@Yudanashi SHIT, that was extremely difficult. I don't think i've ever done anything so difficult. I sat them down at 9pm and told them how i felt about my sexuality, and that nothing would change it. I explained that the reason i was telling them was because REALLY, it isn't their problem, however i believe honesty needed to be exercised in order to strengthen our relationship as a family. I think they were disappointed but not shocked or openly angry either. I guess time will tell.

@Yudanashi There's nothing overtly gay about you at all. Your looks and voice and mannerisms are all perfectly masculine. I suspect MrSpermat was just being a smartass. But let's assume, for the sake of argument, he's correct. Why would that matter? I think your dad is a wise man, and was correct in saying he wants you to be happy and to be the best person you can be. That is a truly loving parent. God bless, and have a wonderful productive life.

@MEATYOKERRable Right, so if you had had such a support like youtube growing up and positive role-models in the media or in everyday life, then you wouldn't have felt such "humiliation" or like a misfit. I was born in the mid 80's and my generation and one's that followed are shifting the world consciousness in a big way. We're knocking down old school mentality and bringing peace & unity to the world. The world needs revolution and we're here to help that along, basically...in a good way :-)

@Yudanashi His family at the time was dogmatically religious, and the pain of the closet was unbearable for him. He took his own life in 1983! Thankfully that was a long time ago and much has changed. Things are happening for LGBT people today, the likes of which Bobby and I could never conceive! We're not quite there yet, but full inclusion is within sight!

i hate how its so hard for us gay people to admit to the world for who we are. if people and religion was more tolerant of every people, it would make life so much better. I commend you for coming out. I only came out to a few friends and they were supportive, but i have yet to come out to my parents. Thats gonna be really hard because they have the old fashioned way of thinking and i feel like im going to be a disappointment to them, especially my mom; she always talks about wanting grand...

I am a follower of Christ (Christian ... if u must). and it makes me so mad when anyone is judged and condemed in the name of God. The "unrighteous" are going to hell". REALLY?!? What about those who judge and turn ppl from God?!? When u r perfect, go for it, untill then ... shut up. U do more harm than good. I am not perfect. My beliefs are mine. I am too busy working on myself to be worried about what others believe. Life would be boring if we were all the same. Peace

@oxforddictonary Alright, fair enough. However I myself have been a minority. In other words an outcast my whole life. Though I would love for garner support for myself and reach out and to others in my similar situation, I could not tolerate letting the world know about my humiliation. Hence, I can't understand why young men come out of the closet online and tell the whole world.

well I'm sorry getting a gay marriage isn't exactly as easy as getting a straight one. In 44 of the other states, there is no "post-marital" sex because many aren't allowed to get married.
