The way that i don't even listen to metal but i fucking love this channel. I'm mostly a pop guy but i do enjoy some metal bands like Death from Florida, but anyway, just wanted to comment that your channel is entertaining and i like learning about genres i don't know too well.

I got the news that Metaldays was over when I was talking with some guys at Rockstadt last week. When I heard "yeah metaldays is gone" I immediately thought of your videos on the subject. You definitely had an impact, also because at least a couple of people told me they had found about Rockstadt through your videos, with one coming all the way from Colombia. Not that much of a failed Metal influencer in my opinion.

@@wyattsmetal The lineup was the best i'd ever seen from the fest, though their scaling up efforts in the last years have generated some.. growing pains: - No outside food or drinks allowed (not even water), and the only freely available drink inside the festival was... Monster Energy. You could sneak in shit very easily though. - Camp capacity was grossly overestimated, so attendees who had come later had to be moved to other camps, some of them literally out of town. - The shuttle only took you to a spot 20 minutes away from the fest itself, with the road having little to no sidewalks. I heard people say it was to not cause traffic problems, which I considered ironic given that the entrance to the festival was infested with Taxis and Uber drivers. - There was only one merch stall and one top-up station so you could stay for hours waiting. Also they didn't use chips but rather cards, which people lost frequently. - This is completely out of the staff's control and has always been common in the fest, but there were wasps everywhere trying to eat food (or even nibble at people). Few got stung. - Main stages sat on gravel, with no rubber mats or water being deployed, so pits were insanely dusty. Not enough sitting spots either, so at one point some brought chairs of their own or stole whatever pepsi bean bags there were. - There were a bunch of sound problems (channels dropping, bad mixing, some shows were insanely loud while others were really quiet). - I heard there weren't enough buses to and from Brasov, but this is only from a couple of facebook comments and did not experience it myself. Aside from that, prices were fair (which is why most people didn't even notice you couldn't bring anything in), food and drink queues were short and actual bathrooms and showers with hot water were deployed. Even the walk was scenic enough that most people didn't even take the bus. The third stage was really nice too, with plenty sitting spots, no gravel and slight elevation allowing people from the back to see. Security were not dicks, with some actually joining in to the fun at some gigs. Overall the bang for buck for this fest was still insane, especially when considering tickets have actually gotten slightly cheaper due to the organizers weaning off romania's ticketmaster equivalent. I've heard rumors they might be changing the location for next year, and it makes sense. Rockstadt's been progressively getting bigger and bigger, as it tries to attract a more international audience. For me personally it was a 7/10, but I am biased in the fact that I never really had a good view of Rockstadt as a Romanian (it had a history of really expensive tickets, bad lineups scandals and cancellations), so I know many more people would give it a "higher score". I also couldn't attend the last day cause I caught covid, boo-womp.

I gave up on going to big venues or festivals. First screw over was years ago at freakers ball. Well by the time we got in Marilyn Manson just started then all of a sudden it’s canceled and police swarmed the place, helicopters and all. They over sold it so obviously everyone was screwed. Greedy radio station. And I recently learned that you have to closely read your contract with festivals. Had tickets to see a band that was playing at the festival at another venue but the slime ball made it so no bands couldn’t play anywhere else within like 50 miles of the festival.

Another Story but its kinda different is Story of darkmountain. Fest was supposed to Take place Here in Germany. Some Big groups from gothmusic. Some of the Managers of the Festival hung Out on political right minded sides on social Media. Many Bands cancelled their concerts there and Festival was cancelled. Now the Festival will have a new try with different Managers as rebornfest

Metaldays was one of the BEST festival in Europe. I went there from 2012 to 2023. It had everything and more. So sad Boe Prick ruined it all...

Boban severely misshandled the refund situation, but saying that, amidst Covid, a massive construction site going right through the festival area, and one of the worst rainstorms the country has seen in decades, saying that YOU ended it in the title is a bit of a ballsy statement.

Okay this is about as off topic as I can get but, in your opinion, is Summer Slaughter a metal festival? I went yesterday with my friend and we got into a debate about it. He just said it was a super long concert, I said it was a day long festival.
