Courtney, really appreciate what you do. Please don’t worry about the naysayers on the Summit tractor. Yes, it’s a Solis, but I wish people would realize how solid a tractor it is, and that Summit has brought it to the US and are going to expand on it and bring more models in! Competition is always good, and this tractor is going to get attention. It just takes time.

Cory, you are correct…..for compacted soil aerators are the BEST. However, if you are a land owner or commercial landscaper and you want to Over-Seed your property, nothing beats a Spike Drum attachment. Creating thousands and thousands of small slice holes in the turf is ideal for fall over seeding, and it’s relatively inexpensive as compared to purchasing a hydraulic seeder attachment. A spike drum it lighter and much much convent to store. DON’T over look the potential of this attachment. Thx for another great video and saving my house.

This will do nothing to save your house foundation, I can't believe this guy even said that. Poking holes in your top soil will do nothing to relieve deep soil compaction/expansion.

Not for deep soil. For surface soil of a few inches, where the turf root zone is. However, once water penetrates the top hardplate, most often, the lower soils are less compact (with the exception of clay type lower soils).

@@groundcontrol2795 Your right about clay. Thats really the only soil type you need to worry about due to its expansive behavior when it gets wet it will push in on a foundation. I don't see how aeration will help this and like you said it may make it worse.

I know the plugs break up and go back into the lawn, but I do kinda wish there was a plug catcher option. Especially for the back yard where you have to pick up dog poop. Can be tricky to tell what's what :)

I recommend to take aerator out of ground when turning. Less wear and tear on the spoons and assemblies.

For weight I bought square shape sand bags and gorilla taped them. Still using them and no leaking sand. Cheap weights.

please help with a suggestion, I have a 1023e jd. You suggested a 48 inch rotary cutter, I finally got one used a squealer by bush hog. I think I have a problem the 2 blades do swing both ways if I hit something.. but.. the blades also lift up about a strong inch at the blade tips. I cannot find anywhere on you tube if that is supposed to . the stump pan is solid and there is no sign of worn bearing or shaft everything is tight except the blades move up and they swing backwards like they are supposed to. Are they supposed to move up?

Fertilizing after or during aeration is good. However, seeding is a waste of time and money. Grass seed needs to be plated at a depth of 1/8 to 1/4 inch. A 2 inch aeration hole is not a viable option. Spike drums are you best choice for that option.

Google tire shops that service AG/Farmer's. They're going to now who to contact. Keep in mind, not all Rimguard service providers will do it at your place. Be prepared to be told to get to x shop/location for service.

I don’t think most lawn service guys charge too much. I’m sure some do. But I got a price to replace the spoons on my 4’ frontier core aerator. 32 bucks a spoon. 🥲😳
