Make sure the "duty rating" of the attachment matches the tractor, my dealer gave me an LR2072 with my 3032e. I bent it my first use spreading top soil for my lawn. Looking at other designs, some have a tubular "sub-frame" that runs most of the length of the rake and then ties into the mount for the tines or 2 pieces of C-channel that clamps the tines on like the LR50xx series, those would have been a much stronger and better fit.

I did take your advice where I could. Our budget didn’t allow me to go full bore and get a backhoe and/or a cab. But I did add on hydraulic remotes and a top and tilt to my new L406LE as well as the third function, a fiberglass canopy, and front and rear work lights. I did choose the limited model because the only feature that it lacks that I actually care about is the telescoping stabilizers that I can add on for far less than the standard 60 series. Can’t wait for it to be delivered any day now and I can finally get to work around my new property.

Most important option …name brand with dealer support ..no matter how good off brand may seem if one is looking to keep any tractor for years …you will need that dealer with parts still around …been both sides fence with tractors had Landi’s , Mahindra’s, Massey Ferguson’s….but in todays world top 3 who still around are Deere , Kubota, New Holland…presently own a Kubota So to me first and top option is Brand/Dealer support all rolled into one, cause they all break and need parts sooner or later .

I would agree that first and foremost safety feature of any compact tractor should be the investment of liquid ballast. Far to many of the compact tractors are just to light. People that are not familiar with the way the equipment handles can get into a bit of a predicament. The Summit tractor is definitely going to put a thumb on some of these other manufactures possibly forcing them to add some of the features such as the third function and even the self-leveling loader. I think that all manufactures from a safety stand point should add the liquid ballast at a minimum. Thanks for the Update Courtney as always.

Bought my first tractor a few months ago, selected a 2014 1025R with rear hydraulic, 54” Frontier rear snowblower (hydraulic option), 54” quick attach loader and 54” belly mower. I just love it, I’ve added a rear quick attach, 6 suitcase weights, tire chains, bucket forks, and a blade box. I may look at a stump bucket next summer. I’ve selected all this looking at your video and I’m 100% satisfied with my choices.

So far I have only had the need for one additional hydraulic, but I wish I would have had additional ones beyond that setup as part of the base install (I know I can add more later with after market kits). I am happy to report the first purchase I made was the to pickup the Speeco Quick Hitch from you for my 3 point. So glad I did! With my tractor (B2601) purchase I did have the following included: - Soft sided cab installed. - Raised seat (I'm a taller person - they installed a 2" lift) - Filled R14 tires Additional purchases/installs I wouldn't hesitate to do again: - Mirrors (locally purchased, but available online) - Speeco weight bracket and weights (Goodworks) - Mechanical bucket level indicator (the sticker on the bucket wasn't quite enough for me - found the parts list for a larger tractor where it comes standard and installed on mine).

Good advice to put more options on than you think you need at the time. Its cheaper in the long run to have them factory installed plus with the APR% incentives from JD and some other mfg's is well worth it than to upgrade later on. I think the Tires are one of the most important. I spent the extra to get the versa turfs and its great for all season traction and not tearing up nice lawns when traversing and moving items on the grass.

Good Morning Courtney, I think you're giving your customers excellent advice. I would encourage anyone looking at NEW equipment to do their research before they buy and make sure you're comparing "Apples to Apples" .......if you're looking at pre-owned equipment I think it's case by case basis. Most of these smaller tractors have little or no hours on them. I personally own 2 tractors with over 6000 hrs and I have neighbors who have well over 10,000 hrs on theirs, having said that, it all depends on how that machine has been cared for over those hours. You'll have to do some due diligence and look that machine over really well. I've seen instances where a machine with fewer hours was in worse condition that an older model with more hours that was well cared for. Case by case fellas, good luck!

You make good videos. But I have one question. When you were dealing in used tractors you only dealt Deere and Kubota. You did one LS and in a review said you really couldn't find a reason to advise not to buy one other than its dealer network is small. Along comes Summit Tractors and you can't say enough on how great this unproven tractor is. Either they are going to have 1000 plus servicing dealers or I don't know why you are pushing them so hard. Where are they built? U.S., Korea, India, Japan? Just wondering. What makes the better than anyone out there?

One point to make is that you can roll your upgrades into your finance plan. We did that on our Grand L to get the OEM 3rd function, 3 rear service ports and a hydraulic SSQA on the front-end loader. Also, a dealer may be able to finance a different brand attachment if you put a good down payment in on your finance arrangement. I would also balance that with what independents like GWT has available. GWT has things that my dealer didn't have in stock and some of Courtney's stock is better and a good value. We have a suspension seat on our Grand L as it comes standard. I don't know about the air ride seat. I have heard some complain about Kubotas air ride that have it.

Love your videos. So when is Summit coming to California? Their Website says that Tractor Supply Company will be their dealer. I have 4 or 5 of them within a half hour of where I live. However, TSC does not show the Summit on their website and Summit does not seem to have reached the Mississippi River. May I assume, California is not on the radar in the near future? I understand that they may be have a backhoe available. I have another question that Summit might address, if the tractor comes from the factory with Rimguard In the tires, it they are going to ship to the West Coast…maybe…someday, the tractor purchaser will be paying cross country freight for beet juice. Sorry for the tongue and cheek, but it has only snowed 4 times since 1971 in the SanFrancisco Bay Area. I understand the safety factor, and wholeheartedly agree with concept, I was in the Fire Service for almost 50 years as my major source of income, so safety was a big part of my life. Has Summit possibly thought of shipping the product in bulk to their dealers out here? Part of my other sources of income before the Fire Service, I worked mounting and repairing commercial tires, basically anything you could fill with air or water (including the A2 tires on construction vehicles, the ones that weighed than Volkswagens and cost more than Cadillacs). In the day, the Calcium Chloride additive made the job really messy, plus I would guess somebody here would consider that process a HAZMAT. Least I digress too far from the original question, will Summit be planning to cross the Mississippi River in other states besides Texas? I have inconvenienced too many electrons so I will close. Respectfully submitted

I recently saw a guy going into a pile of gravel to fill his bucket on his Summit TX25 tractor. After he filled the bucket, he tilted the bucket backwards and lifted the loader. I was under the impression that the auto leveling feature of this loader prevented the operator from tilting the bucket at will, so how was he able to do that?

I would honestly consider that Summit Tractor. It's a bargain. If only the lift capacity on the loader was in the 1200-1300 pounds range. As it is with 900 pounds, after a bucket or a grapple, there isn't much left. You can't move even half full basket of firewood or a decent size log. Wish it had a better lift capacity.

Love you videos but I do have a question? How can you love the summit tractor but rag on the JD 2025r? Although I haven't seen them side by side they look extremely compatible. I own a 2025r and love it.
@GoodWorksTractors
@GoodWorksTractors Жыл бұрын
The Summit weighs weighs about 50% more than the 2025r. It sits 4" wider. Much, much more stable. It lifts 100's of lbs more than the 2025r loader. Thousands cheaper when spec'd out the same. The list goes on, but those are some big hitters.

Yes sir, available summer of 2023. Can be added to models sold without the backhoe too. I don't have all details, but believe it'll have a subframe on it, separate seat, mechanical thumb, 12" bucket as standard.

If you are stuck with or want turf or R4 tires and need more traction consider chains. Cheaper and faster to add and remove than swapping tires.

I think you do more research before you make a video than any other channel I watch. I rarely can think of anything to add to what you already say. I watched your small tracker video and you nailed every single thing. I will say on this video though the only reason to not have rear tire ballast is because you have lots of heavy wheel weights you don’t want to ever take off so you keep a bunch of tire slime in your rear tires. That’s all I got Courtney…
