Hey, guys, using an off-cut of your MDF(that's what it's called in Canada - "multiple density fibreboard") in front of your plaster to push the crowbar against to put your floor boards into place = no holes in the wall. But other than that - great job!!! It's really coming along!

Nice for Yanis to have someone to talk to in French sure Ryan could use his help as he has experience doing beam work and wall skimming/plastering. The fireplace needs cleaning before installing flooring. So you were visiting Dawny that's so nice for you Ryan :) the smaller osb works wonders here with smaller floors. I think Ryan could manage the next floor joists and beams on his own with a little supervision. I had forgotten how bad the windows are I think one can find second hand windows that would work better and still provide insulation. The flooring and skirting should straighten and strengthen these floors :)

Really enjoh watching you restore this home. I love antiquities, and you do indeed have a wonderful one! Can also see you are enjoying the work, which makes it even more fun to watch. Getting curious about what your vision is for finished surfaces, such as walls, floors, kitchen, etc. I will be honest, but with the caveat that no matter what anyone says, including myself, it is still your house, and what you decide, is fully your choice. What I am driving at here is wondering if you will be use finishes that make the house feel as though one has stepped back in time, or will you be going with what seems to have become the standard issue "update" of white, bright, modern glass, chrome, and flat pack cupboards? You probably have guessed, I'm really hoping that you go with retention of original character, while making it livable, and comfortable for yourself, but as I said, I will not criticize if you for whatever you ultimately decide.

My name is Antoni, i am Polish, living in the UK, and occasionally, I do construction jobs. I can see you guys are doing a very good job, and it looks professional. I like the project too, nice house. I was thinking of buying in a property for refurbishment in France as well some time ago. Never happened. One thing, if I can comment on, in my opinion you could improve, next time maybe it is worth to consider to put some glue on the joint of tounge and grove, it helps to avoid movement of the boards when they expand and shrink and make noises while walking when floor is finished. It is highly recommended in the UK by building control, even more than recommended. I'm not sure in France, but it really helps to reduce noise in finished property. Any glue is good pva or polyurethane. All the best.
