@@Fonz23 respectfully what you don’t understand that the machine has paid itself off for the past 5+ years for this detailer. As many may think what he charged in this specific vehicle is low, given the loss of the heat pump it really ain’t. Things aren’t meant to last forever, and the heater pump going out after that long is just a given. Lest just say it will cost $200 and couple hours labor work. That extractor will probably make a killing for the next few years lol.

I have done A la carte cleaning on interiors, but as we all know our OCD start kicking in when doing the work and the door panels, plastics, & other area of interior get overspray from the cleaning fluids on it, and you just want to clean it up and leave it as you received it.

Great video Carlos! I know I don’t comment a lot on your videos but, been following you for awhile. Your content has always been helpful. Not sure if anyone else noticed but, I liked how you covered the center console to control any over spray or damage to the plastics. Also liked how you were able to think on your feet when you encountered the issue with your equipment. That’s why you are one of the BEST! Piggy backing on a few of the comments regarding OCD, yes sir! My OCD would kick in and see everything. I did like what one person said about just doing what the client wants and we are in the service industry. Keep up the great work my dude!

Great video Carlos. Personally I don’t like single item packages as most of the time it confuses most customers and make the menu too big. Also it’ll confuse me with each item and price for every size vehicle etc. For myself I found out it’s Better to have a concise small menu and charge accordingly depending on the condition of the vehicle.

They don't understand it's cheaper to get a full detail at the end then getting things seperatly trying to save money. I charge depending on the seats and prices are different depending on the state your in. I'm in Miami seats only will be 80-120$

I do a la cart, i also do shampoo and extract only option it starts at $150 as well. Although i did a spot clean on an old camry they paid for vacuum, headliner clean and 2 stains removed. Not cleaning the whole car really bugged my OCD nature.

😂8:20 The real reason your drill brush isn't slinging is that there is no liquid that can sling! After 12 minutes, the majority of the heavy cleaner you sprayed heavily and the dirt it has loosened up has seeped underneath the fabric & possibly into the foam cushion. The best extractor in the world can't fix that!

Yes I do offer anything the customer wants. I don't care for the concept of ME saying what I will do for however much. Because what I want isn't what the customer may need. If we are in the service business why are we telling a customer what they need to buy? I just look at things different because to me it's about customer service. Maybe they want to sell the car, well only clean the seats, the customer will vacuum it out and give it a somewhat clean. I get paid to do what the customer needs done to their car.

U sure the tip didn’t get clogged? Sometimes my mytee where it sprays gets clogged from the water. I use a blade or flat head to clean in between the sprayer on the mytee.

Nope. I don't its not worth it. Heres my reasoning, when you shampoo the solution slings every where (you can be careful but still) and you can't give the car back in that shape. (My OCD will kick in). Wiping down other areas time is going to take time and if any sling left behind the customer can leave a bad review. Many of my Customer get the full interior done.

I don’t like to do Ala Carte detailing and have the customer start picking and choosing what they want. It gets difficult to price items separately. If I need the business I will quote them $200 to just shampoo and extract the seats. It takes the same amount of time to get setup and then put away and clean the equipment. If they don’t like the price quote, I will not go lower. Word will get around that your prices are starting points and customers can get a cheaper rate. Don’t go there!

It doesn't matter how expensive the machine is...pumps, vacuum motors, heaters, valves, latches, gaskets, etc. wear down and you have to replace them. It is an expense that you have to figure into the cost of running your business. I totally agree with Carlos, if a pump lasts 6 years, I'm not too upset.
