The re-soling is such that now the boots have to be sent back to the Red Wing factory so they can display it in their museum.

Dude you are an artist, in my 57 years on this planet I never thought twice about nice boots except for harness boots to go with my motorcycle but recently I started watching these type videos and found out about Whites boots so I went and bought a pair of Whites packer boots, I never even knew about high quality boots before I started watching videos and now I’m hooked, I now want a pair of Whites MP’s so I’m gonna have to start saving….. anyway great job on those… they are awesome!

I've got a pair redone by Unsung house . Toe stiffener removed and Dr. Sole ripple soles with a midsole . They are FANTASTIC!

Great job brother! The only thing is since Redwing has leather insoles and you put a leather midsole so is it necessary to put cork filling? I know the redwing iron rangers don't have a midsole at all so it makes sense to put the cork filling.

Cork is a necessary component in Goodyear welt construction boots. When it’s done there will be a void in the welt which the cork fills. It’s secondary purpose is to give you foot something to form the leather insole into

It’s just like Mathew said it. There’s a difference between foot bed,midsole and (filler) It can be leather,corck or foam but we always have to fill the cavity that’s created between foot bed and the welt no matter what. Cheers

KZbin sure has a lot of resoling perfectly good soles. I suppose if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket you can pay to have a cobbler do utterly unnecessary work. Beautiful work, nonetheless.
