RESOURCES FOR ANYBODY WANTING TO DO SHINY LOCK REMOVAL IN SWITCH GAMES: To be able to do any of these hunts in the 1st place, you need a Switch model that is susceptible to being injected with the Atmosphère custom firmware - a quick way to check this is to check your Switch's serial number, and type it into "Is My Switch Patched?" - if it is patched, you unfortunately will not be able to do these hunts. If it isn't patched, follow the instructions in switch.hacks.guide, and see if your Switch can enter custom firmware afterwards. I hope they fix the way to encounter side stories or post-game legendary encounter so that this never happens again. For scarlet and violet legendary, they should be will static spawn instead of making them npc encounter

No, these are Legendary Pokemon you can only encounter once, sandwiches wouldn't affect them at all.

Ive asked in a lot of places. If i install custom firmware on my 3ds, can i install a japanese copy of emerald, hunt mew and transfer it up ? I really want one but i dont want too hack it. I want to get it legitimately but dont have access to a gameboy or the game. Shiny locks are really dumb in my opinion. Especially if they dont let us use home on game launch. I got a shiny treecko that i had wanted to use at the start of sv but no home compatibility and starters arent always available which i think is a sin in and of its self

They definitely would not be legal for online play, I wouln't recommend going online with them if you can help it.

With a shiny lock removal, any static encounter can have their shiny locks removed - this includes the Indigo Disk Paradoxes, the Loyal 3, Ogerpon, and Terapagos. The only ones this does not apply to are Walking Wake & Iron Leaves, whose encounters are tied to limited time online raids.

I've moved them to HOME and had no issues - I wouldn't recommend putting them in there though in case they can't be moved between future games.

@@kelechikema574 Yes - this was hunted using a mod that removes the shiny lock & gives Wo-Chien (as well as any other shiny locked Pokemon in the game) the standard 1/4096 chance to be shiny.

Just use a shiny ditto to do that because there's a chance of u getting that shiny u want or shiny legendary its hard too do but it might work

@@Michaellovescats12 Ditto, regardless of if it's regular or shiny, will take the form of the opponent - so a shiny Ditto using Transform on a normal Wo-Chien would just make it take the form of a normal Wo-Chien.
