i (kinda) fixed the Sims 4: High School Years with mods

High School Years is like one of my least favorite expansions of the game (not even because of the boring school but there is still some annoying things like daily notifications about new outfits at thrifty when my sims have never even stepped into that shop or teen couples being mad at each other for not going to prom even after graduating/dropping out or just straight up being in university). But I really enjoyed your video, already subscribed and definitely wanna see more, really liked your energy. Considering how everyone around her is already part of an art group, the arts and crafts could be interesting. Dont know how the theater club mod works but I actually really like the theater club that comes with Get Famous, with the sims having a play every Friday and also being able to gain some fame. It's kinda fun. (Also, yes Ash uses They/Them, you were unsure about their surname. The surname Harjo is actually native-american, Creek to be more precise, I think is pronounced how it's read.)

High School Years definitely let me down. It feels like they could’ve done SO MUCH more with the concept, and the things they did do I’ve heard are quite buggy (like Prom). The notifications don’t bother me too much, but there really should be an option to select what events you want to be notified about, since so many packs offer so many events. Thank you so much for your kind words by the way! That means a lot. I uploaded the first part to a new series yesterday, so there will be two Sims series running alongside each other on the channel! It definitely seems like Arts and Crafts is the best choice for Chelsea. Theater would be interesting too. I’m not sure how this mod handles that stuff, especially since I don’t own Get Famous, but worst case scenario I could always “pretend” I’m at rehearsal or do a “pretend play” XD And thanks for the help with the pronunciations and stuff! I really do appreciate it

What are all the mods you use to fix hsy? I downloaded the more students mod by aramiteus but nothing with the pack is working.

Off the top of my head was Dynamic Teen Life, Form Groups in School, More Students mod, and I think there was a mod that fixed exams and prom night too.

How do you even download mods for the Sims? Ill just serch up a video to find out how to do it. But is it a pain to do download mods for the Sims?

@@Darkness7400 It’s actually SUPER easy. I started off using CurseForge. It’s basically a mod manager + catalogue. You can download mods straight from there! As for mods not on CurseForge, there should be a folder in your sims data files called “mods”. Not sure if it’s automatically there or if CurseForge made it for me. But, you drag and drop any mod files you find on the web in there and boom! They’ll be in your game! There are the obvious mod-protocols, don’t download from suspicious sites, unzip your files before dropping them (if necessary), the usual But the Sims is one of the easiest-to-mod games out there, up there with Skyrim
