Yeah it reopened about a month a ago, all renovated and crowd and music was brilliant. I think scott and i left 4am. It's great to see the old back and better than ever 🙂

Jonny you gotta stop drinking those cokes , I’m a little older than you , about six months ago my stomach starting getting distended ,and it was hard as a rock, literally felt like my stomach was filled with cement , I made an appointment for a colonoscopy, meanwhile I have medical insurance through Stewart Healthcare and the first appointment they could give me was three months away , they cancelled a week prior due to staffing and made another appointment which was two months away , a week before they cancelled that one also ( and then they went bankrupt ) … meanwhile I’m thinking I’ve got stomach cancer , I was told to stop drinking coke which I did, and within a week my stomach was 100% back to normal , not rigid, not distended ,..I read online that it causes fat in your stomach that can wrap around your intestines ( bad stuff , get off it immediately ) all I drink now is water and feel so much better

When you book how many nights do you book at the time? Ie what is your commitment before you’ve seen the room?

when you book a hotel on Agoda, you’re pretty much locked in unless there’s something serious wrong with the hotel. I only actually booked two nights just to see what it was like but then extended for the rest of the week. It’s better to be safe than sorry very good hotel check it out next time you’re in Bangkok.😊👍

@@jonnyasia no worries. Obviously a lot will depend on personal taste preference. I don't like bitter or Guinness for example, but the strong flavour of Duvel, I like. There are lots of other Belgian beers, particularly trappist, then there are some fun ones Krieg (cherry), Framboise (Raspberry), that are very drinkable, but might not have reached as far as Thailand. Likewise, hope you've had a great weekend.

Yes, the new climax nightclub it’s still at the ambassador hotel. They renovated it and they reopened it about a month ago. It’s a great place. I think it normally opens at about one or 2 am, Had many great nights there and happy to see back in business. Check it out next time you’re in Bangkok. 👍😊

The hotel was really excellent great location the gourmet market I was at was that the new shopping called Emshere which is about I think a five minute walk from the hotel but the gourmet market is excellent if you want to take away meals and a cheap breakfast, etc.

@@jonnyasia Thanks! Once I saw location of hotel on map I figured you might be talking about Emsphere mall. I stopped by there quick on my last trip just to check it out quick. Looks nice, and I like location of the hotel it's definitely on my list for when I return in November. Also someone else recommended Imjai Thai food which is right there too for some cheap but delicious eats. Also Buster's fish & chips across the street and Hair of the Dog got a pretty nice beer selection. Thanks for the reply

Climax on sukhumvit 11, it use to be a big club years ago but never reopened after covid but the good news is it’s been renovated and reopened about 1 month ago. Good crowd, good music and open till I think 4 am we left, you find under the ambassador hotel soi 11 😊👍

Yeah, climax reopened after renovation about a month ago. It’s still at the ambassador hotel. It was great. I used to go to years ago when I lived in Bangkok it was a very good crowd and great music. I think we left it around 4 AM if I remember correctly lol 😂 but good to see the old climax back better and bigger

@@larrywheels762 That's your great advice! Stay home? My Thailand doesn't exist anymore. Pattaya is filled with more Western couples than ever, I guess all the girlfriends/wives got wise to what their men were doing and now want to tag along! As far as Prime Rib, there aren't that many places in Bangkok or Pattaya that are going to be cheap for beef as it's not their main protein. When punting prices are on par with German Fkk's I'd much rather stick with Germany as Euro women are far more attractive than those in Thailand. It's also a shorter flight from the U.S.A.
