My ex used to tell people I was abusive behind my back as an excuse for her constant cheating on me while I was working 90+ hours a week in the oilfield to provide for my family. I knew when Lona said that about cheating on her ex that it was total bullshit. I know it sucks to hear it now, but be grateful you were able to get away from such a toxic person when you did. It's unfortunate that she'll always be a part of your life because of the child you have with her, but your quality of life will only get better the longer you live without her.
