I was molested as a child by my older cousin. I don’t like the narrative that people who were once victims turn into abusers! That is sick, I’m not sure why that’s the case. Because I’ve never thought to ever abuse a child or my daughter in any way. The thought is sickening. I think people who do that are predators and have underlining psychological disorders.

On top of that I never understand a parent that puts their child in foster care due to behavioral issues. That’s your job! If your child doesn’t act right that’s cause you did something wrong as a parent and you need to fix it. Children are not disposable. I have no respect for this woman cause I think she likes to pass her parental responsibilities onto whoever else is nearby.

Not this being specific to their dynamic, just a general statement, if one kid behavior is out of control, parents cant focus on one child. My momma always say she can love you from a distance cause parents dont have all the answers so sometimes it is better to separate. Like when she said she had to relearn who her son was, it sounded like the time separated did them good. She never acted like he was disposable, it’s something she had a hard time controlling. In all honesty, its not always the parents fault if there are issues they can’t control. There is always something that causes it and sometimes being in the same house will only make it worse. Edit: foster care was an extreme, i only ever hear bad things about that system. There are better alternatives in creating separating destructive households.
