5:10- "Johnny Got His Gun" is an antiwar novel written in 1938/9 by Dalton Trumbo (and made into a movie in 1971 also by him). It is horror in its' own right: a WW1-era soldier wakes up in a hospital to slowly discover he is a multiple amputee and is missing his face. The only way he can contact the outside world is through his sense of touch on his forehead and by banging his head in Morse Code.

Anyways, I assume the orbs of light are related to the Smile Dog creepypasta, specifically how in the image there is the weird red ball of light to the left of the dog. It is fascinating how this original story makes me revisit the original Smile Dog creepypasta and realized how little I know about the actual story, and learn that the whole "loud pitched ringing" and "anxiety" also existed in the original story as well. I assume what this story implies is that the Smile.jpg is in the night sky, meaning the Smile Dog is some sort of cosmic horror beings?

I hated Eraser head still love Johnny Got his Gun grew up on and still love Taxi reruns and I loveee The Twilight zone. Like the OPs Dad I have been obsessed with it for 40 of my 47 years especially as my teens hit and they played the 48 hour marathon twice a year New years Eve and the 4th of July. For years I didn't even celebrate those two holidays i just sat and watched my TV for up to 18 hours a day for the two days I still watch it every chance I get.
