Some good observations, but i don’t think it will be based off the animated series. The building in the show doesn’t look very visually interesting and not at all like what many people think arkham should look like. I think it will be comic based and instead of reusing figures they will save money by making all the villains wear inmate torsos so that they only have to make new heads for the figures.

I think it could be based off the video game and the animated series combined. The arkham knight game is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year and that universe is based on the animated one. That would help them to make it more detailed since there’s more asylum content in the game than the show

Hey, I like how you came up with this theory, you are the only one so far who made this reflection. You could definitely be right though we could be surprised by an Arkham Asylum Video Game version. Lego is heavily focused on adults/teenagers + and a few video game franchises have recently been released like Fortnite and Horizon. Now I think both the Animated Series and the video game series would attract equally, I feel like Arkham Asylum from the video game offers a way more interesting layout as it has different buildings with different shapes and I would love one where you see a big plant with poison ivy coming out through the roof. We could even have the batmobile in that set that would be epic. But your theory and logic are good and since Lego would probably try to reduce the cost, they could go for a more minimalistic big tower like we see in the animated series. In the end, I still think the video game series offers way more opportunities for easter eggs and different cell layouts but the future will probably prove you right :) It makes sense.

While I would love a BTAS Arkham Asylum set, both the Gotham city skyline and the BTAS Batmobile are slated for retirement at the end of this year. Since both only came out last year this suggests that they didn't sell as well as Lego hoped. This may put them off making more BTAS sets in the near future.
