I Lapped the Nürburgring for the first time - RX8 vs Porsche vs Golf R

On August 09 2018 I travelled with a couple friends 800 km to get to the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. Due to weather conditions we only made three laps but it was more than enough to enjoy the track and the amazing experience it provides. This footage is about the third lap where I tried to push the car a bit, still lifting the throttle pedal on main straights due to lack of confidence. I am sure that with a couple of laps more I could've improved much.
Let me know what you guys think and sorry for bad swearing in italian. Adrenaline side effects :)

I've always dreamed of running that course with my RX8 but I never thought it would happen, but somehow I feel I have run it now. Thanks for the experience and I loved listening to that rotary sing. In my opinion the best handling car I've ever driven...

Thank you! Honestly I don't care about bad comments, on the field, in real life, it looked way faster and intense that in the video. It was my first time at the ring for me, some parts of the circuit were wet... I am satisfied with my lap! There is a lot of improvement to be done but...

Very respectible 9.45 BTG time....not to be sniffed at . Have the same car.....with a little work they can really work the corners......not a real powerhouse but with a streetport they come alive.....it's easy to forget that they are only a 1.3litre too......nice drive

@@adrian15419 my electric module offline at min. Filter gone I suspect. Car sat for a bit. I need to look into this. Had to have super human strength to park it. Fitting new omp pump. Old one failed mot on hydrocarbon emissions. Too much oil injected. I like what I see on it engineering wise.. it's cool. Unfortunately I been trying to fix my bones and lung after I was passenger in car crash. I feel I need to get it done now.

​@@davidedgar7338 Mazda makes a wonderful feeling electric steering across all their models with them, that I've driven, I would have almost sworn it was a smoothed out hydraulic system the first time I experienced a few, especially compared to most other manufacturers electronic steering systems.

No it has a 3" exhaust decat and Ecu tune. But one spark plug was disconnected at the time of this video.

@@Berry29tm wow that car runs and songs great my Dad and I owns a 2005 rx8 here in the country Barbados which i in the Caribbean ,it's automatic but I love the way it drive is stock I'm thinking of going with a 3" exhaust thanks to you. Lol the rx8 value in my country is very high my 2005 has a street value of 26,000 BDS dollars which is 13000 us .2010 model value over 60,000 BDS or 30,000 us but are sold around 20,000us dollars /40,000 BDS Enjoy you handle yourself on track well love the channel Take dear care of yourself stay safe hope to see move content of yours soon GOD bless

Severely under powered cars...but it appears to handle well yes...Mazda should have sold it with a 3 rotor engine from the very beginning making it a clean emissions 20B Rensis engine if you will...cause it sounds more performance oriented and offers more power and torque and then put a dct transmission with paddle shift in later updated models but still keeping the manual option....Nice car the rx-8...It just needed much more HP and Torque

Should have saved your money & just gone on the autobahn - that wasn't racing - it was a Sunday afternoon drive through the forest - did you take a blanket & a picnic with you - my RX8 ( 261 bhp) & uprated brakes, suspension would've torn you apart & once I hit 5000rpm - the bloody thing comes alive

pls elaborate on how you managed to get 260hp from a renesis. Is it turboed? Is that 260 at the crank or at the wheel? Never heard of anyone getting 260hp, even at the crank out of a renesis without turboing and if you have a turbo on it, it's probably already dead.
