Internet Definition - Lo-fi or lofi (short for low-fidelity) is a music or production quality in which elements usually regarded as imperfections of a recording or performance are audible, sometimes as a deliberate aesthetic choice Producer definition - Chill dusty beats/vibes that get the community flowin 🌊🎵💙🎹 great video ED you nailed it

You missed it, Ed. You made another Ed Talenti trap beat in the end. I totally get it, though. I've been trying to make "real" lofi and most of the time it ends up being harmonic minor spooky and the drums still hit too hard. That's what happened to you here too.

I dunno man, I think for most people lo fi is that warbly, dusty, melancholic, slow relaxing type of hip hop instrumental. Like that guy in the video said. The other beats sound like generic old school NYC rap beats. Yours is great, only thing I would do is slow it down a bit, and maybe delay the bass and drums so it has that dragging sensation. You da man!

Thanks for the video mate ! Was great to see you havin' fun with that challenge. Reaaally.. you nailed it on the progressions from the first to the second and as well with the sound texture !! For my part, when I listen to your drums I really hear trap inspiration, even if fits the lofi sound. The only way it makes me think of Lofi is with the Halloween Style type of beat wich they often make it feel that way, more groovy and bappy. Try to put less tripplet and adding more swing to your hats ;) You beat is awesome for a first a Lofi one, I'm confident you'll get the touch right away with the drums on you next beat ;p Keep on vibin positive 😊🎉

No expert here. But the Hi Hat pattern is too Trappish you know. Doesn't work with 16th notes. Go for a regular quarter note Hi Hat feel. Also just unquantise your drums. Especially the Snare and yes use Izotope Vinyl and RC 20 with some flutter and you pretty much there.
