The divine femanine and femaninity are important aspects, but everyone seems to forget the divine masculine, especially female practitioners. Masculine and femanine exist within all of us!
@persephonepersonified40035 жыл бұрын
Jesse James I agree, but I think they were trying to put awareness on divine femininity since there is already so much focus of masculine energy.
@setitheredcap26775 жыл бұрын
@@persephonepersonified4003 That's where it becomes unbalanced. People put so much focus on the famanine, that it is now the leading energy. They forget that it doesn't just mean for women, or women. Femanine exists in all of us, as does maculine, and has its role outside of gender. The divine masculine has become ignored and forgotten.
@barefootanimist5 жыл бұрын
After thirty years' involvement in Wicca, Druidry, and other forms of spirituality, I've found myself needing to write a book to address the rather-conspicuous lack of materials on the Sacred Masculine. There have been relatively-few over the past forty years, since mostly women and gay men tend to populate today's covens. I think, from the observations I've made over the years, that many who explore the occult tend to want the superficial elements, more than they do the deeper, Shadow elements and inner-work. There are plenty of the "aesthetic witches," but the ones who take their praxes seriously still walk in the liminal spaces between light and shadow. That said, I appreciate that there were somewhat-obvious demarcations by these witches, naming (or at least hinting-at) their particular biases, rather than claims being made that all witches sit squarely in the same box.
@earthbruja52685 жыл бұрын
Men get so offended. This is one thing you won't ever be able to claim as your own. And I'm so pleased about that. I use both feminine and masculine energies but I don't think people need to do both to be an actual practitioner.
@setitheredcap26775 жыл бұрын
@@earthbruja5268 Nothing in my reply suggests that I'm offended 👌🏼 I am simply commenting on the imbalance of divine masculine and feminine in modern society. And both men and women can get offended (not that anyone here is) so you may want to get off your high horse. Now, I don't know what you think we can't claim, but the divine femanine exists in us men too. To say you only need to focus on one is like trying to get fire to burn without oxygen. They are basically yin and yang. You can't ignore either one.

@@dixietrash4795 Honestly I'd go for it if you're passionate enough about what witchcraft is at it's core. For me, I knew I had something going on with me when weird stuff would happen like when I would be able to see someone's forseeable path. It only happened when the emotional impact was immense though. Naturally, I knew something had clicked, so I looked into some Witchcraft to see if what I was feeling was real or not. I only used healing, protective, and passive magicks (nothing love or dark based, I'm not okay with manipulation of other's feelings and intentions), but I found success when I shifted away from the normally herbally focused spells in favor of focus based magic, substituting stones with a similar property to the kind of spell was trying to cast. I found great success, and could quicken the healing process, predict nonobvious basic weather patterns, and do other things. I personally turned away from witchcraft in favor of a more focus based spiritual connection (Keep in mind that I'm a skeptive and an ex-non religious person who grew up in a mixed catholic background) because it's what was working for me most, so it's important to go on that journey to discover what you're the most talented at and what you prefer.

@@CriticalThinker777 That's not entirely accurate. Demons are no more behind witchcraft than medication, energy drinks, etc. It's all about combining the elements of YHWH's created world into to manifest a desired effect and understanding your intentions. New thought (positive thinking), in a sense, is a form of witchcraft. Concentration can be a form of witchcraft. Certain church rituals, in a sense, emulate witchcraft. Prayer (incantations, setting intentions), worship (incantations), speaking in tongues (channeling), attempting to here from the Lord (divination) are all psychological forms of conjuration in one form or the other. I know this because I have, during meditation, been able to replicate certain energy waves I have felt in church services, making most churches services null and void. According to the ancient hermetic principles, all manifestation begins in the mind and this is why it does not face me because - in the end - you are all doing the same thing with different intentions. Are you currently in a relationship?

The main misinformation I’ve noticed in this video is that Dylan presented Voodoo, Hoodoo, and Santeria as forms of Witchcraft when in fact, they are not. If you were to, for example, call a Voodoo practitioner a Witch, they would be highly offended. Yes, Witchcraft use magick and yes, those other traditions use magick, but they are not Witchcraft. Witchcraft is specifically a Western European practice. Voodoo, Santeria, etc. are their own traditions that come from their own cultures from different parts of the world, and to slap the English term “Witchcraft” on those traditions is diminutive towards their respective cultures. Calling them forms of Witchcraft just because they use magick is like calling Hinduism a form of Christianity just because they’re both religions.

Taurus? Persephone on one level is a representation of the changes of the seasonal cycles. You cant just pull this stuff out of nowhere, there are ancient texts and traditions that have deep meaning. The sign Taurus is technically usually the constellation of Aries as solar sign not Taurus, but about 100 ad the zodiac was "frozen" and offset to 0° Aries...possibly along with the years being reset to zero due to Christian influence and to mark the Age of Pisces. Due to precessional slippage the constellations move so where Taurus was Aries is now. Before 2000 years ago the SIGNS (which originated with the Babylonian 'Mul Apin') alligned with the CONSTELLATIONS, but Tropical Astrology isnt really looking at the constellations, it is looking at the movement of the seasons and of earth relative to the planets. In the Tropical zodiac I am Taurus, in the Sidereal zodiac I am Aries, in actual scientific marker of the suns rise in a constellation I am Aries. Sidereal generally aligns with NASA.

I grew up learning Dianic Wicca on Vancouver island from my parents friends who were in a local coven, and my grandmother and great grandmother taught me cooking, herbology, tea leaf reading and taught me about Russian and Slavic folklore and shamanic practices. Since then I learned Tarot, Reiki, Massage Therapy, Herbology, Shiatsu, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga and many other practices. People come to my house and it looks like a normal house, though there are a few crystals around. People ask me about them and I say I love lapidary, I’ve been collecting various stones and crystals since I was a child. I have a green man made out of cement and painted green amongst my plants. Wen people ask I say I got that at a garden centre, I wanted a Moai an Easter Island head but they didn’t have one, someday I’ll get one but this was cool... I use herbology and teas to sooth upset stomachs and other ailments but I also going to a doctor. I do Massage Therapy to relieve whiplash and sports injuries at my practice. Those in the know ask for Reiki. People know me as a Massage Therapist and a Herbologist. Though some look at me knowingly and a few whisper to me I know you are a witch. I say Madam, I am a Wizard and give them a wink. The general public never sees me walk in the woods gathering herbs, or lighting candles under the full moon, chanting and calling the directions, and only a few have seen me meditate. And only a very few have asked me about the spirits in their house.... at Halloween I dress as Indiana Jones, but I do have pumpkins carved and candles about... I never wear jewelry, but I do have some crystal necklaces and such in my supply chest. And when I use my magick wand to draw circles, I use my old wooden spoon handed down from my grandmother. I use it to cook with daily... and if you see my bookshelf I do have authors like Gerald Gardner, Garett Knight and others amongst my copies of the Havamal, Kalevala, the Lord of the Rings, and others of the like. To know, to will, to dare, to keep silent...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how you've covered this beautiful and "mysterious" path! Dylan certainly seems very knowledgeable; However he should also know that while the term " wizard" SEEMS more "fairy tail like" in modern society the term WAS and still is commonly used in EUROPE where ALL our Witchy roots lie!
