I Studied here and I have a good life according to Canadian standard but I don't have a good life and freedom because life here in the west is busy and hard every hour and everyday; day in day out. no rest. The way life is engineered here is work hard, pay taxes, pay bills day in day out. The life is vicious circle. At same time Iam great full too to have everything I need. Just to be clear; British did not establish farming in Africa. Africans were farming and trading with fellow Africans, Arabs and Indians before the colonialist came and made them sign fraudulent documents to take over their land. #Monsoon winds.

I think you are wrong in the regard of establishing tea farming by the British Colonial Settlement in Interior Regions of Kenya.
@anneketu68604 жыл бұрын
@@HullioGQ is that the trueth 🤷
@HullioGQ4 жыл бұрын
@@anneketu6860 the colonialist revisionist history tells a different story but if you went to Tanzania or Kenya, especially the coastal towns you will find a lot of evidence that tells a different story. Primarily Arabs, traded with East Africa as far back as the 7th century as they were spreading Islam around the world. East African cuisine is made of a lot of Indian spices. Also, DNA of Malagasy people has revealed a strong link to Indian and Sri Lankan origins. Madagscar is futher south of East Africa. That should tell you something about some of the hidden history of our history. The Brits intorduced large scale Tea farms because they benefited their homeland and it was a cash crop that could garner it a huge tax infusion. What is missed it that the fertile soile grew a lot more than that. It is sad that Europeans would erase the history of locals in order to conquer or rule over the local people all over the world. Even today in the USA, the slave trade is completely overlooked in the education system yet this country was built on the backs of slaves.

Good morning from the Bahamas. Congratulations, Mr. Tony, on your venture into farming, especially, the organic way. This video brought back so many happy memories. My mother was Jamaican, and, I spent two years from I was 5 years of age, at my grand-mother's house in the mountains of Jamaica. She owned three-and-an-half acres of land, and, grew all kinds of crops, and fruit trees, and, raised fowl, ducks, geese, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and a cow. Jamaica used to be a land of large, and small farmers, and, was an extremely prosperous country. The final nail in the coffin in the decline of the economy of the country, and, improverishment of the people, was the introduction of mass tourism, leading to a demand for importation of food which was familiar to these Tourists; establishment of fast food restaurants which imported food from overseas; and, the Leaders of Government discovering from much money was made by charging duty on imports. In the 1990's, many cattle pens went out of business, and, sugar estates, and other such properties, sold for housing schemes.
