Oh my goodness I cried with you leaving! This was tough as I made a drastic move from Miami, FL. To Atl. Ga. It was hard as I had never been away from family etc but it was an awesome experience. I did 3 1/2 yrs and moved back home for personal reasons. I’m so proud of you for being so bold at such a young age.

Why are you trying to move to TX? I moved from Michigan too, but you won't find friendly people here in Dallas like Michigan. I only moved bcos i get sick from cold weather as I grew up In Middleast. I realised I made a mistake , people are rude here in Dallas, plus so many road rages everyday . Most people don't even know how to drive but have licenses. Very unfriendly folks here. I am talking about Dallas Fort worth area. I don't know how it is in Houston, Austin or San Antonio but my guess is pretty much same If you guys decide to move be ready to meet nasty peoples here and how to cope with them. You won't find people like Michigan here after all Michigan is known as Land of great lakes or "Pure Michigan" we are pure not fake and nasty who like to play politics at work place here in Dallas

Lots of folks in the metroplex but tons to see and do everywhere. Used to live there and I do miss it sometimes. It gets rough at times but it's worth it. Hope it's going well. Visit us in San Antonio. Great family fun and great fall and winter weather too. Never freezes!

It suffered the worst during the recession from 10 years ago and it has absurd high auto insurance rates that are off the charts. But why does Minnesota which is in a better shape than Michigan have less?
