You better fly 3 of those guys out to help with your forms at home so it doesn’t take a month.

That's not a terrible suggestion at all. Sure they would like a change of scenery and some extra funds for Christmas. They could get some info about filming their own projects for some additional side money Hope there is time between reading your post and when the pour takes place

Did the part of why they flew to Wyoming go right over your head??😂 why watch someone on KZbin make mistakes and bang their fingers and still learn what? They just went and worked a combined full time work week hours wise to learn how to do it 😂😂 the conclusion to his video was “we learned a lot…. Made some mistakes that hopefully we won’t repeat”

Please tell Devin, thank you from your KZbin family for the valuable lessons you learned on this trip. I know your confidence has gone to 100% with the hands-on experience you learned.

I am 82 years old and set a lot of forms in my time, but we did it a lot different back in my day and I wished we had the forms you are using, we had rods with catheads for our forms some time we got poor quality rods and if you poured a 12' wall it might blow our. So really enjoyed watching you showing how they do it now. Thank You.

A lot learned and Devon was super nice to have y’all on site. Would be good to show the tools list you will have for the pour. May be good to rent two concrete vibrators as it will take a while to drop it down each rebar section during the pour. The light generator may be necessary also since it’s dark at 5 o’clock now. Not sure how those turbo heaters are going work as they emit exhaust in the heat, which means you can’t be inside tent which will be an issue. Wonder if you can rent one similar to what Devon used.

I think that Devin got a great deal with 2 very hard working men in exchange for teaching them what goes on in putting up those walls. We all know Roman is a hard worker, but so is Cole when he is shown what needs to be done. And neither are afraid of asking questions in order to do the project correctly.

Cole just a quick tip. Whe you get concrete hands . The damage for doing concrete work with out gloves. The easy fix for it. Is to take a washcloth and soak it with vinegar. Wash your hands thoroughly with the washcloth. Then re wash your hand with some and water. And repeat as necessary. Then use a good cream your hand will be baby soft the next day

Thanks to Devon and his hard working crew. They make it look like a well oil machine, that is years of hard work and learning. Shout out and a big thank you. Cole take notes and rewatch the videos, make sure you list it all down like how not to put the heads of the keys in the corners (I found that most interesting and understand the reason why) and you always know that practice makes perfect so the next time you have to fix a wall you know to put in the [ staple looking rebar to keep it from pushing out. All in all I have a great respect for folks like Devon and his crew for the work that they do in all kinds of weather (that appears to also be a factor in the work). Please be safe and enjoy the beautiful holiday season!

Hello everyone. The importance of applying mold release oil to molds is rightly mentioned. But it lacks the precision that it is just as essential to wash (= hot water + soap + rinse) the concrete wall once unmolded if you do not want to see paint, wallpaper or carpet for example, glued or affixed directly on these walls to peel off over time due to lack of adhesion of residual oil traces. Bravo for what you do. Daniel

I would assume they aren't considering using ICF blocks because it would probably be a real pain tying all the tons of over sized rebar together as your going up with each block. He seems to over build things at times. Im sure he will have a tone of huge rebar to try tying together inside the ICFs as your going up one block at a time. Also his wall is probably going to be twice as thick as any ICF block even available as well.
