This is literally something so common, people have been doing this for centuries, wetnurses breastfed other women's children as a job, the fact that these two women are doing it because they trust each other with the safety and nutrition of the baby is fine by me. Idk why some people think this is disgusting or wrong?? Like, unless the sister in law has some type of sickness then that would put a damp on the gesture but otherwise who cares?

Wrinkles & sprinkles Why would you think it's okay for a sister-in-law to breastfeed your kid? That's disgusting, and people who enjoy this are the werdiest pedophiles I've ever seen. It is not okay. I didn't have to breastfeed when I was younger because there were bottles. You're probably a Brandon supporter.

It’s the same thing as a mother accepting donated breast milk from the NICU. Breastfeeding is such a beautiful thing, and the fact that her family member is stepping up and helping Im the way is just amazing. Breastfeeding is a part of life.
@ticrific
@ticrific 2 жыл бұрын
I agree! I think part of the reason, if not most, that people don’t view this the same as donated milk is because the sexualization of breasts. There’s nothing weird about a baby drinking straight from the source, yet it’s still treated like such a taboo thing. People who call it gross are the real gross ones
@rainnmoon114
@rainnmoon114 2 жыл бұрын
It's really not. Breast milk is tested and pasteurized. There's no direct contact with the donor and the milk is processed. This is like drinking milk straight from the teat of a cow, which is not the same as buying a gallon in the store.

Absolutely not. Rain N Moon is correct. Donorr breastmilk is pasteurized. I work in the NICU for years in a breastmilk laboratory. I am a lactation consultant, as well. You should NEVER feed your baby breastmilk that isn't yours or pasteurized donor breastmilk from a milk bank.

I did this with my sister-in-law's twins. It was unusual at first, only because we now live in an independent/ non-communal society where mothers hesitate to ask for help or lend help, but when a baby needs to feed they need to feed, and it was super convenient because my baby was alseep and my sister-in-law could only nurse one twin at a time. So it just became natural for us. It's a bonding experience for the whole family. It's lovely how close these sisters are 💕

Both of my children were preemie and I had to rely a lot on formula because of my breastfeeding issues. I felt so guilty not being able to give them what they needed. I absolutely love this. There's such a stigma around this and those negative perceptions is what's disgusting. I absolutely love love this. It's such a beneficiary thing to do to wet nurse and breastfeed. That baby is getting liquid gold!!!! All those antibodies for protection... Breast are literally made to feed babies... 74 years ago when I was born in a small country hospital, a lady gave birth to twins in the next ward. After a couple of days, the Matron came and spoke to my mother. She said that the lady's milk hadn't "come in" yet and that the nurses were worried about the twins. The Matron said that "you have plenty of milk, could you help out?" My mother replied that a baby was a baby and they needed to be fed. So she fed the twins, and myself, for the next 2 or 3 days until the lady's milk "came in".

When I had my first daughter I needed to have an emergency surgery 7 days after giving birth. I was really worried that she’d stop wanting to breastfeed if I gave her a bottle (because drinking from a bottle is much easier than drinking from a breast) My best friend just had a baby 3 months before. She very sweetly offered to take my baby and husband home to feed her while I was in the hospital until the morphine was out of my system and I could safely breastfeed her again. My husband would sleep downstairs with our baby and he’d wake up my friend anytime she was hungry and she’d wake up and feed her too! It was such an amazing, selfless thing she did for me and my baby!! After about 3 days I was completely off the pain medicine and was able to continue breastfeeding my new baby!! I did use a breast pump every few hours the entire time I was hospitalized to dump the milk that had medications in it and to keep my milk production up! When I was a baby My mom and all my aunties all had babies around the same time so they all used to babysit and breastfed for each other (it was the 70’s, free love and free milk lol! That’s why I thought this was totally no big deal, and it turns out that it wasn’t!! I love seeing these beautiful sister in laws sharing in raising their babies in the most loving way possible!! Her little boy is hugely benefiting from his aunties immunities as well!! This is so much safer than formula too!!! ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕

I think it's amazing that they were able to do this. It's "odd" that she puts him to her actual breast rather than just feeding him the breastmilk from a bottle, BUT the baby has rejected bottles, so it's the only other way to feed him ESPECIALLY with a formula shortage! When I have a baby, if I produce a lot of breastmilk, I plan to donate it to mothers in need, or hospitals ❤

People are acting like this is a new concept but wet nurse's have been around forever. If you know and trust that person and you and your spouse are comfortable with it then it shouldn't matter at all. Love to this woman who is willing to help out her sister in-law and her baby nephew. Take peace in the knowledge that you are all doing a beautiful thing for this baby and your family. All the best ❤️🇨🇦🙏

Breastfeeding is one of the most natural things in the world! Why would anyone think it's disgusting to be able to help feed a baby? Hello? Remember wet nurses? Society has demonized one of natures greatest gifts. It's not like they're going door to door, offering their services - why be offended? I swear, society has a lot of growing up to do.

There are limits to Genious, but no limits to Stupidity! These two couples have an excellent relationship, the kids and babies are in the best possible environment. NO ONE IS GETTING HURT!!! In europe there are " Wet Nurses" - women who's lives depend on families who need their service. Everyone benefits. Why would anyone think that this is wrong?

That first year is about nothing more than keeping that baby fed and dry. Weather the milk comes from mom , a good quality formula , or a willing wet nurse or breast milk doner ... Just get milk Into the baby and keep it warm, dry and loved and you are winning 👍

Good for you two for doing this. Good for you for putting it out there on social media. It's totally not disgusting. And even if there wasn't a shortage of formula as a good enough reason to do this, it should be fully acceptable to do whatever you want with your own child. Back, not that long ago, we had wet nurses for this exact reason. And that was well accepted. So why is this so strange?

This is normal in a close-knit family. The 2 moms are close like 2 great sisters, so they trust each other immensely. They live sooo close by and their husbands are twin brothers who are immensely close. The communities before 1900 did this to help each other because this is the most natural thing in the world. This type of immense trust certainly wouldn't exist amongst strangers or anyone who didn't trust each other immensely. This is their closest tribe. Why wouldn't they help each other if someone they love is hungry???!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Sadly, I struggled majorly with supply issues and other problems. 😢 With the second child it was much, much easier. Anyway, way to go sisters!! 🥰❤🙏

I do not see anything wrong with it. It is her sister in law. Not a stranger off the street. She wasn't producing enough milk so she wanted to help out. I think it is sweet. The baby is happy for sure. The identical twin brothers was fine with their wives doing it. I mean this has been going for a long time. It is done in different countries. Their is nothing wrong with it perfectly normal. I breast feed my daughter. Lucky I was blessed to do it. It is a beautiful thing to have that bond with your baby. People always got something negative to say about everything. I mean that is their choices that they make. Nothing no one can do about it. You think because you hating that is supposed to change their mind. About breastfeeding I don't think so they are going to do it regardless. Let them be God bless them all. 🙏🏻👑 😍💗

Years ago they had wet nurses whose jobs were solely to feed the babies of people who could not feed their babies "A wet nurse is a woman who breastfeeds and cares for another's child. ... Wet nurses are employed if the mother dies, or if she is unable or chooses not to nurse ..." But then you know.... We have all of these " WOKE" people these days.... and people that wish to judge. lol Judge not lest ye be judged right? If the baby is being fed and they are not harming the baby....... the baby is healthy... what is the big deal here.? I think it is a loving , caring gesture.
