Thank you so much for doing this video Rory. I have been racing for about 5 months and have never tried online events. I was worried I would not be good enough but now I realise there are events that I could be competitive in. After watching drivers like yourself and others racing for the last half a year, I didn’t think I could ever get to that level. I didn’t realise the races are graded like the E class you and your wife just raced in. I’m 65 years old and new to sim racing and I’m so happy that I can have a go online as it’s always more fun playing against real people rather than the AI all the time. Cheers and thanks again.

@@danielstabile-sq7up Thankyou so much for your encouragement. After I retired from working I moved to Thailand and was looking for something interesting to do and I certainly made the right choice with sim racing. I bought a PS5, steering wheel and cockpit. I found a nice little apartment in Phuket with a view of the mountains and only a 15 minute walk to the beach. The rent is only $450.00 Australian dollars a month, life is good. Cheers.

I’ve taught people before, it’s actually more beneficial to take off the racing line and teach them to spot the breaking points themselves, just because they end up looking down at the track too much and it prevents them from looking forward and at the apexes like they should be, it’s actually just quicker to teach them how to feel the breaks and spot the apexes
