I wanted 1 copy of Yunjin and my sister always gets lucky, so I asked her to make at most 30 pulls for Yunjin, but stop when she got her. I asked her to roll on the Shen he banner because I already have Xiao and I won’t be mad about getting Shen he, i just don’t have the resources to build a new character right now. My sister is a giant Xiao simp and therefore decides to do roll on that banner despite what I said. She did 1 10 pull on a pity if 13, got 3 Yunjin 1 Xiao and a Jean, unfortunately she got Jean before Xiao. Idk if I’m mad at her or not. On 1 hand that could have been Shen he, A new character, and I don’t use Xiao at all I hate his play style. On the other hand she got me 2 5 stars and 3 Yunjin in 1 10 pull.

I love Shen he’s Character design, personality and backstory, but I don’t have any teams or characters that synergies that well with her so that’s why I decided not to roll for her. Still wanted a Yunjin though, and I didn’t want to pick Yunjin at the lantern rite thing where you can choose a 4 star, as I need Xingqiu’s last constellation. So if I had to choose between the 2 5 stars I would much rather had had a Shen he, rather than a Xiao constellation. I don’t really like Xiao and I hate his play style, especially since I’m on mobile. On the other hand I was only 13 pity in, and now I’m on 5 pity, with around 60 pulls. So I only lost around 8 pity and 10 fates, which isn’t that much all things considered.

I’m a F2P, I don’t even do ten pulls, I do single pulls entirely, that way if I get what I want, whatever extra pulls that would’ve finished off the ten pull can instead go towards pulling different banners I also want, or can be saved until different banners. Also, when you do individual pulls I feel it’s a lot more illustrative of the game’s luck, because you actually have to pull every 3-star. You can’t just impulsively rush through it. It also makes it more noticeable when you pull an early 4-star (before hitting 4-star pity). Getting 2 4-stars back to back is rare, but if you get them with a gap of something like 5 to 9 pulls you’re not getting as lucky as you might think and a completed ten pull will just show all your 4-star pulls back to back (even if it goes through the actual order you pulled them, when you pulled them.)
