This is actually my personal impression after watching Good Omens 2.
The angel's first lie set them both on the same side and also led to their future insincerity.
The brief black and white moment with Aziraphale is from Crowley's perspective. After his fall, his world becomes somewhat dull until he fully opens up to the angel. At the same time, the angel realizes that the demon isn't as heartless as he may seem. I particularly loved this scene.
