Your video on this works fine in the UK, but the difference is not the case here in Florida or the rest of the US. One of the wordings on the screen is one no American would ever use--"I like playing sport." I think you might make a clearer differentiation between American and UK usages (our Canadian cousins may use it the way you outline the different in this video)..

how can I say? both the same time? when it is important and also enjoyable? (sorry for my English if it is bad)
@anglopod8 жыл бұрын
You could say 'my work is also my passion'. I can't think of an exact phrase off the top of my head. Can you give me a situation when you would say it?

hi, can I ask about "like to do something"?. Does it mean something that you will do in the future? You don't do it often, but you think you may try it, will do it?

thank you for putting this in a simple way. Finally, I could see the differences and really like watching your videos. btw, can I ask a question about the differences between 'we are busy cleaning' and 'we are busy to clean'. Is it we are busy doing sth (cleaning), and we are too busy to do sth? I couldn't figure it out by myself. Look forward to your response.
@anglopod3 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura, you're welcome! I'm glad my videos helped you. In answer to your question, the first one is correct: "We are busy DOING something". The gerund expresses the action that is keeping you busy, e.g. "We are busy TALKING/EATING/STUDYING" etc.

Hello, teacher! That's Agapi from Greece! I like watching your videos, because of learning English easily and rightly! It's my enjoyment!!! It's my delight!!!! Yet, I like to learn French. But, it's something I should do, only because of my job. It is not fun! It us not my hobby. It is only a good idea in order to improve my life. It's the first time that I have watched a lesson of yours. And I am very excited!!! The teaching was very interesting, sufficient and useful!!! Thank you a lot! Cheers!
