Never had a zero turn. Probably going to save you a lot of time once you have it sorted out. That deck looks like it's made of heavy gauge steel.

Is this made by Excel? That is a lighter duty engine than the command series. It’ll be just fine at any rate. Probably has 2800 or 3100 hydro gear transmissions in it which will do you fine also. If you ever want to go crazy find something with a Kohler Command or Kawasaki and one that has separate pumps and drive motors by Ross/White or Parker. Those spindles might have had grease fittings although it’s too late now! Looks like quite a good upgrade though!
