This is all true and I think there's yet another interpretation that makes it into a unity bar. Brits do pronounce 'beta' like 'beat a', but I think he's doing that here with intention - in some circles, the word 'alpha' is used synonymously with knowledge, and in maths the word 'delta' is used meaning difference, i.e. the difference between two numbers is the delta between them. So, alpha beating delta could be a way of saying that the differences between people are overcome by knowledge and understanding.

I heard one reactor say he’s just using rhyming words randomly and not making sense. The guy doesn’t have a clue. EVERYTHING REN says in his art has meaning. You just gotta dig to understand the meaning behind some of it. That’s why I like watching the reactions…I learn things I didn’t know.

Despite being a rock baby, this is one of my favourite Ren tracks. Previous reactions have taught me a bit about schemes, cadence, flows etc. Don't need that to fully appreciate the artistry and theme of the song. That said, your reaction is by some stretch the most definitive and insightful one I've seen. So the basis of this is; as Ren was so weak from the misdiagnosis and stem cell and drugs running thru his veins he wanted to produce music but he was too ill. His ‘hunger’ comes from wanting to make music and feeling like half his life was taken away and now he’s older he feels the desire more. It created a monster.

I would only correct that Ren recently shared that the stem cell treatment saved his life. He is creating something right now to share his journey in hopes of helping others. I LOVE learning from reactors. And this right here People , is why Rap and Hip Hop are SO VERY much more complex than people realize. It’s an education! People who say that they don’t “like” Rap and Hip Hop don’t understand it. I’m a middle aged white woman who has been listening to it through decades. I think that it deserves MULTIPLE CATEGORIES for the Grammys. I truly believe that Ren will be rising in the ranks once people give him a listening platform. He may not want that, but he is destined for it.
@pauzeandrewind9 ай бұрын
This is so spot on. I have said this same thing for so long. Definitely should be way more categories in hip hop. And people who say they don't like rap, don't realize they really just don't like particular content usually associated with rap and perpetuated through media. But as an art, how can you not like it once you find the content delivery you do enjoy? It's a great expression platform and captures way more than people give it credit for. Well said, my friend.
