Adult crushes are kind of different from middle school and high school crushes. The maturity level is usually vastly different and both parties get better at reading whether or not there's chemistry

A crush is literally just an attraction to someone. And certain people just can't tell if someone likes them. That doesn't cancel out what I said about the fact adults (hopefully) won't go around thinking an attraction is embarrassing and something to spread around

Chris Martyn Yeah I struggled with that myself for a bit... I won't lie it is difficult and does take time and during that time you will mess up and have the "fight or flight" type reaction that sometimes paralyzes you with fear to the point of freezing up and saying nothing out of pure pertrification. However, It's when you can accept yourself for who you are mess ups and all and continue screwing up freezing up over and over and still keep pushing yourself to face that fear that evenually you'll be able to say hi anf run. Then say a sentence and run. Eventually hold a conversation. It was extremely difficult and took me having a cashier job and being in sports to overcome all of it. Takes time, but if you "really" want it you qill do what it takes. Don't use it as a crutch. If someone else can overcome it "YOU" can too. Fear never leaves you just know how to better handle it. :) You'll be okay

Chris Martyn I have social anxiety too, and I'm thankful that I'm a girl because we're not usually expected to be the ones to go up to guys and express our interest. What has really helped me get better is building my self esteem by continually reminding myself that my fears that nobody will like me and that I'm inferior to others are irrational, and that there is no logical reason for me to believe that I am any different from anybody else. I know it's a subconscious habit to believe that nobody will like you, but if you constantly remind yourself that these thoughts are not rooted in reality, it might help you get out of that habit :)
